I have to disconnect and reconnect so many times! It works ~10% of the time, the way it should!

The shark just randomly cleans so it frequently cleans the same area two or three times. It is quieter than our old Neato, but I wish I could go back and not buy the shark.

Out of the box had no problem hooking up to WiFi but nothing on the app worked I’d hit clean nothing only thing it showed was how long it cleaned. Then a couple hours later got on app and WiFi was gone and said add robot. Called the lady tried to help but everything she told me to do I’d done more then once already. She apologized took my information and said she had to pass it on to a ion trouble shooter and have them call me back I called at 9:30 she said someone would call me back by 5 pm guess that means they want me to stay home all day

Okay so I wasted maybe 15 minutes trying to connect so I might save someone else’s time, if you get redirected to an web site to enter your WiFi hit done and just go to the app. Other then this slight hiccup , I like this robot

Replaced my iRobot with this. I like it much better and it is more reliable. Easier to maintain by a bunch. Cleaning brushes and wheels is a snap. I recommend it to everybody I talk to if the mention getting a robot.

The Shark 750 works great as a vaccine, but the software (seems to be more associated with the firmware in the vacuum itself) is flawed. The unit constantly loses connection to the WiFi and the app can’t find it or communicate with it. This desperately needs to be resolved. The unit does not function as advertised.

mine connected initially, dropped and then would not reconnect no matter what i did. then i called tech support and the following got me connected and it has worked perfectly ever since...(1) made sure my phone was using the latest ios (2) turned off my cellular data (3) selected “forget” on my wifi connection on my phone...then reconnected (4) presses doc and spot to put vac into setup mode (5) clicked on the vac in my wifi setting to connect to it (6) when redirected to the yellow colored screen in the app clicked “done”....do not select the wifi at this point - this is where the problem is- you have to click “done” and select the wifi connection and enter your password later. (7) clicked add robot in app (8) selected the wifi to connect to (9) walked through the rest of the setup steps and named the vac (10) waited on the app to connect and....Presto, it was connected and has not lost its connection since. Of course, you can turn your cellular data back on after this. So, try this or call tech support. They were awesome, very nice, knowledgeable and patient.

I have always loved shark vacuums. I have 5-6 of them. I have also owned Roomba vacuums and have had a few of them. This ION is ok but has its issues. 1. I need more of the magnetic strips and have been trying to order them for months but they are unavailable on the Shark website. I also need a new filter which is also unavailable. 2 There is something wrong with the vacuum as it keeps beeping until I let the battery die completely to reset it. ANNOYING! I do love that I can start it anytime from my phone and it does a good job.
