Love my Ion

I bought the non Wi-Fi version for Christmas and it’s wonderful but I bought the wrong one. I wanted the Wi-Fi so I bought the new one which is now covering downstairs. I’m always amazed at how much crap it pulled off the floor. Going to give the other to mother in law. Highly recommend this robot. However it has discovered its favorite place to get stuck. Enjoy it.
Practical and easy to schedule

Just got the robot vac and was able to get the app through the QR code. Had a bit of trouble getting the WiFi to connect, but the support was excellent, no waiting, and a bright technician had me remove the robot vac battery for a minute to do a hard reboot of the entire vacuum. Once I did that, the vacuum connected to the WiFi and I could easily register the vacuum and schedule it for cleaning through the app. Very nice app with a quick and effective tutorial and good, intuitive design.

Been using the app to run my Shark daily. Love the app just wish I could schedule for multiple times a day as we have 2 dogs.

Got for my wife for Christmas and quite pleased. Sara does amazing job getting the hair left behind by 2 active Boxers and equally active cat who spends time wrestling with our male Boxer. They pay little attention to her now they know she doesn’t eat their food. Dust bin is near full every day she works. Gave up trying to get her to keep schedule on local time as she constantly reverted to default, so just adjusted schedule based on default time zone. Although programmed to clean 7 days, she sometimes doesn’t. Guessing it may be lost Wi-Fi connection? This is reason for loss of star. Also wish Notifications were pushed via email or text instead of having to check the app. We have lots of obstacles and I am amazed how seldom she gets stuck as long as we remember to pickup a couple of lightweight rugs at doorways. Would love to see a mapping feature to see exactly where and how she goes. I can envision getting more units as they improve to work other areas as our rooms aren’t connected via halls.

Scheduling Ion to activate in general cleaning mode, registering your Ion, and receiving push notifications are the only three expectations met by this app. It does not allow manual operation ( remote control directional commands) and it does not provide any other features not already available offline status. The trade off in system security offline for additional function online is nonexistent.

Repeats same patterns where it will get stuck and send a notification. Missing areas that are clear and open! Disappointed...definitely not an IRobot
Review is of app, not vacuum

The vacuum is awesome. The app is lacking the one key feature that would change my 2 stars into 5. Push notifications. That should be at the top of the feature list.

Vacuum is great. Set a schedule and let it do it’s thing. Picks up pretty much anything in its path. Cleans better than my pet vacuum. Really quiet too. I work nights and am able to sleep while it runs. Works great on carpet and laminate flooring. Everybody should have one.

I love this little shark. However, she is not perfect. I love the schedule idea but for some reason it no longer works! I have it set to go off every other day but it never does. It worked fine the first couple months and now it doesn’t. I am not sure why the other reasons that I took off a star I things that have already been mentioned by people. It needs some manual controls see you can have it focus on a certain area. Also push notifications would be great. Finally, I don’t like that it doesn’t clean along the baseboards well. It senses the wall and backs away before it gets close enough for the brushes to get anything from the edges. But The rest of my floors are kept super clean!
