Some defective ones!!

Well, where to start.. I purchased this on one of the Black Friday sales and got a good deal on it. When I first started using it the patterns didn’t make a lot of sense and would stay in one room for a extended period. About 80% of the time it would return to the dock. I did vacuum well thought! We ran the crap out of it to try and get a map. At about 50 runs... still no map!! Stuck at 33%. I talked to support and they were no help. So I deleted the map and started over! Well, another another 50-60 runs, no map stuck at 33%! At this point I was so frustrated I wanted to return it! But this thing does vacuum pretty good! So, I exchanged it for another one and giving the shark one more try... And you will never guess what happened! After ONLY 9 runs we had a MAP! The new one navigated so much better then the first. So for all of you guys out there stuck on 33% or not getting a map after 80 runs, exchange it out! Shark must have a lot of defective units out there for all the bad reviews! I’m just glad the new one works!


Very disappointed in wifi

UPDATE— Has gotten worse!! The app is totally useless and never stays connected to vacuum. I have deleted and restored so many times now I just manually push buttons on vacuum to clean. HORRIBLE ————————— I love the vacuum and how it cleans BUT the wifi is absolutely ridiculous!! It does not stay connected no matter what I do! This app and wifi issue needs to be addressed urgently!


Unable to Edit Map

When hitting continue after adding room name, it freezes up and does not add. Also, all my rooms disappeared recently, but the map layout is still there! Please fix

I have sent the confirm email link at least 25 times with no email confirmation. I have checked every folder in my email for it. I just deleted the app.


Cleans well, wifi issues

I love how it cleans hardwood floors and goes onto my shag rug! Cleans very well, but the robot always loses connection to wifi and I can no longer get it to clean through the app. The app becomes useless then. The only way to get it to reconnect is to add a new product to the app. Any way to resolve this?

Great product and app, except...

We love our shark products. The only issue that we have with the entire experience that still hasn’t seem to have been addressed is auto scrolling within the room select feature of the iOS app. For some reason the scrolling reverts to the top of the list the moment you release your finger when trying to select individual zones from a longer list making impossible to select anything past the 5th or so zone. We have gone as far as to try and rename our rooms in hopes to have the ability to have lower traffic zones bumped down the list, but to no avail... Other than the room selection issues on iOS this is a five star product and app!

I have used this app for over 3 months now. It mostly works as expected. Initially connecting my shark to WiFi had problems but I was able to figure it out. It took my shark about a week to map out the whole house the first time. It didn’t look right so I erased it and started over. After 1 run it had my house mapped much better. It still looks kind of funny but it resembles my house. Now that my house is mapped out I can send the shark to clean specific rooms. I set my Shark to run everyday and I have had no problems with scheduling the shark. I have had no problems Switching between normal, eco and max modes. No problems with the notifications. The Shark always finds its way back to the dock very quickly and sometimes more then once in a cleaning, unless somebody picks the shark up or a problem occurs. Noticeable problems: when I set it to an area, it starts vacuuming it’s way to the area, doing areas I didn’t tell it to, instead of just manuavireng it’s self to the general area and beginning there. Also sometimes I open this app to send the Shark, which was cleaning because it was scheduled to, back to the dock and they are off sync. The shark is vacuuming but the only options I have on my app is schedule, clean and history. No docking option. What I would like to see in future updates: Have the shark continuously mapping and updating to its map. Just send push notifications to confirm the new map vs the old one. I didn’t have all the bedrooms opened initially but it wonders in there from time to time and still has not realized that it discovered a new area. Plus all the furnitures and obstacles will not always be in the same location. Also, all the functions seem to only work separately. It would be nice to be able to schedule and set the areas and strength. Such as Mondays set to do the kitchen area only at Max strength, Tuesday set to do the entire house “except” the kitchen and bedroom areas on eco mode. It would be nice to tell it where not to go from the app. I refuse to put a hideous magnetic strip any where guest may see it. I have not had the opportunity to try it with Alexa. I have not had Roomba with mapping to compare the mapping to it. Overall I think the app “gets the job done” but could do much better. I hope this helps and I hope you take some suggestions for the future updates.


Maps never complete

I will be returning this today. They promised an update on Saturday to fix the map issues but it still has not updated. I have ran the robot 60 times is 20 days trying to get it to map out our house but still can’t map it out. Getting close to my 30 day return so I have to return it today. I will be getting a Roomba instead

Have had for 2 months and still don’t have an accurate map. Of 5-6 runs 3 were excellent and it still didn’t update the map. I tried to set up the rooms on the map it made last week and I can’t select the bottom room on the list because the ‘clean’ button is in the way. There is no way to scroll to the bottom to select the last room to clean. I can’t find a way to rearrange the list so I’m unable to clean the kitchen. It would also be nice if the app was able to schedule to clean certain rooms but as far as I can find ‘entire house’ is the only option when scheduling. I’m attempting another map redo this week as I have until Friday to return the robot.
