Never got the option to distinguish if I was a driver or a passenger after my first drive with the app (it asked me once.) I Uber a lot so I'm not always the one driving. I also referred someone else, I completed my test before they did. Since I was not the one driving most of the time I was declined by root. Now, I cannot get back into the app to claim my referral bonus since the person I referred has completed their test. Highly disappointed.

Being a 22 year old with a sport car Ford Mustang 2017 I was paying over 157 a month with geico 1000 dollars deductibles now I’m paying 84 a month with better coverages and 500 deductibles I’m glad Root got to Maryland! This is real! Thanks guys! Now I’m saving over 1000 bucks a year.

Unfair Quotes

The app is very easy to use and get set up. The very thing I dislike is the quotes I’m given. You expect a good driver to pay 400 a month for a car that’s from 2008. The advertising from what I’ve seen says you can pay as little as $75. Yet you compared my insurance with my old insurance company and it’s not even close. There I paid over $200 to get started and $186/month. You want to me pay $400 a month, seriously! Disappointed in the details given in full.

Spent weeks dicking around with this app killing my battery and running up my data only to be informed im ineligible with a 6 out of 7 driveing score so unless your 80 and drive a golf cart dont waste your time/battery/data

I drive great. Live in a big city however, they don’t show you numbers or any information just a bar that adjusts randomly. Lol. Waste of time honestly.

This app is garbage - it simply doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time. I installed the app and went through the setup process. I gave my email, created a password, and gave it permission to track my location. Then it went through to create a quote and the app just freezes after that. After a while it comes back and tells me to check my internet connection, but no other app is having internet issues, just this app. When I exit the app and come back it’s the same thing, over and over.

Got this all of the set up and everything and paid for my first six months. About 4 days ago I hit a deer on my way home from work. My car is not drivable. I have full time job and a life to live. I put my claim in legit right after it happened and they called me back the end of the next day. When I tried calling back nothing. I left a message. The next day I called 5 times and left messages. Nothing. Today I called 4 times finally got a hold of somebody at 11am but it wasn’t my share holder. She said she was going to send a person to come look at it. Now it’s 8pm and nobody has come out to look. I have a job and a life I need to get back too. This is ridiculous. They promise to call back within 24 hours and get somebody out here but it’s been 4 days for me.
