App is flaky

AustinAggie94

I love my ring doorbell but I’m really hoping the latest version is less buggy. Some times it won’t even connect unless I disconnect from Wi-Fi. And who wants to burn their data up that way?

Great app

It’s such a great app

Logging Out Unacceptable!

360metals

I depend on the Ring app to keep my Floodlight Cameras ready to view, and the app spontaneously logs me out. This cannot be happening since I depend on this app for security; being logged out can (and has for me) resulted in not being able to capture critical video of a suspicious car entering my property. There needs to be a permanent way for people to remain logged in without EVER being logged out if it isn’t through the “Log Out” option at the bottom of the menu. If I ever wanted to log out I would have done so already, but I have never had a reason to do so.

Time to buy a Nest doorbell...

The ring app and my ring doorbell haven't worked in about 3 months. I purchased it 12 months ago and it worked so-so for the first 9 months. I have removed it from the house and done a hard reboot and it temporarily worked. Now I can't even do a live view. It just gives the message 'activating device' and never actually does. I've tried contacting Ring customer support through the app and it won't load either. Both the software in the doorbell and on the app are up to date. I have forever lost confidence in Ring and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Frozen screens

MonayLL

This has not been a great experience so far! When people ring the doorbell the screen freezes up on the Ring App. Sometimes when the motion sensors are activated the screen freezes up on the app so I might as well use a peephole instead ?

Not warned

Apparently you need to buy a new iPad with iOS higher than 9.5 to get results. I was not told this.

Worse, not better. Absolutely!

When I first got Ring it was the best thing I’ve ever bought. It was college and amazing, and always worked. Now, i think more users have overwhelmed the website, and the developers. I’ve spent hours on the phone with Ring support, who are very helpful, but the problems I’m having an not be fixed by phone support. I’m getting forced logout constantly, which is not good when you need to answer an alarm. Then, recently, when I trie to exercise options during viewing, which you are supposed to be able to do, it started eliminating a whole series of videos, or freezing them. These are glitches that need to be fixed by developers, but I’ve been waiting a couple of months, already, and these issues still exist. I think they need new, or more developers, and deal better with expansion of their client base.

Started off good,went downhill

When I first got my doorbell a few years ago it worked well. They would push a firmware update and would mess it up again. Push another firmware and worked again. The app used to tell you what version of firmware you were on. They removed it,I assume to keep consumers figuring out what problems occurred due to a update. I have a spot light cam and floodlight cam also. Delayed or no video is pretty normal, now I have no sound on any recordings. I get tired of contacting Ring customer service for help. My doorbell is 7 feet from router and have great service. That is not the problem, it’s a Ring product problem. Very disappointed was hoping this was going to be the answer for my video solution. Need some more cameras but don’t believe I will be going with any more Ring products. Ring doorbell pro Floodlight cam Spotlight cam Chime pro 2 regular chimes Solar panels I have invested some money in Ring products. Great idea, poor execution

Live view works very rarely

Jackie223372664

This could be a great app and system but the ability advertised to view live feeds and speak with people is practically unusable.

Just bad products.

Their hearts are in the right place but they must cut costs with every update and upgrade bc now I’m charging batteries every week with my motion almost turned completely off. W/ motion On they barely last a couple days. Video feeds now look pixelated and have weird glitches. They keep sending me replacements for lenses leaking and weird update errors. the quality is obviously dropping.
