HAD been stable for a year

Phil03449

2/20/18 Update: short story, my bad. Recently, I added another, indoor security camera to our system and when I did, that brought my available wifi bandwidth down below the Ring's minimum level needed to operate Live View. It just so happens that occurred around the time the app was updated. I ended up replacing our (aging) Apple airport extreme with a Google Wifi mesh network (love it!), Ring Live View is again running fine and life is good. Thanks for the follow up, Ring folks. Prior review : Ring stick up cam with solar panel had been flawless for a year. Recent update blew-out Live View and I can't get it work again. I still get alerts and can review the captured video -so I know the camera is online with a strong wifi signal.. Nothing else has changed on out system to cause the dropped camera function.

Needs USA customer service

My experience with support was not helpful. The neighborhood alert videos will not play on our iPad. Also there is a 30 second + delay on the videos on our motion alerts. Ring door bell is a good product, but needs sone fine tuning and customer service in the USA

Finally added! 10 updates later... app is good, I no longer have any complaints.

Very slow & no finger print authentication

UI is simple but live mode process is very slow. I have high speed internet and there is no way the app should take a lot time to activate the cam for the live speed. I have also checked the device health and all good but their apps need work. This is the only security app which doesn’t offer finger print authentication.

Great When it works

I like the concept however ours does not work well. I originally thought it was our specific unit however, we received a brand new replacement and it still doesn’t connect well. It takes anywhere from 15-45 seconds to connect, the live feed doesn’t show up consistently, I don’t get notifications of a doorbell press and we get motion notifications outside of the zone we set but not for when people walk up to the door. When I need the live feed to work quickly because my dog is losing his mind it won’t. I’m unhappy with this product. Customer service has been professional, nice and helpful however I can’t spend over an hour on the phone with them trying to troubleshoot a couple times a week when it doesn’t work.

Tell us what the version fixed/updated ⚠️

--**

Stop using the release version / release notes area to only promote your product!? When opening the app, whether in WiFi or cellular, it ALWAYS says “offline” then close it and re-open it works, clearly a software issue as it used to not happen. Please fix with software/firmware update⚠️ Ring doorbell Pro ?where the heck is the promised HomeKit update?

Does not support iPhone X display

Needsomemoola

After all these months and many updates, still does not use the screen real estate of the iPhone X.

Works ok - when we are home

PhotoArtistStudio

Not so much when we are away! The bell will ring and I will try to answer when we are not there, but it takes too long or never connects so the person is long gone. Thankfully, we haven’t had anyone ring and then break in if we don’t answer which, of course, was the purpose for installing it! ?

Love this app

Borntooxlr8

Love the ring app! Wish there was one for the Apple TV! Also please update the spotlight cams to have better night vision!

Don’t open to non ring owners

Frog T

There are enough idiots with ring taking up time space and my patience. Lost puppies should not be on ring alerts. Someone ringing bell that they don’t recognize is not a panic alert. Don’t know what they wanted? Maybe you should ask them. In person or thru the ring voice. Come on, I had to pay extra on top of the ring doorbell just to see videos because of theft, breaking etc not for nonsense, so why do people without ring get to utilize paid benefits.
