Randomly stops scrolling

erilara

Scrolls patchy and randomly stops scrolling when I’m still speaking so it’s impossible to continue reading. Tried numerous times, two feet away from the phone. After paying for this one, I have to buy a different app... and the time waisted. Still waiting for the makers to contact me.

Surprised it’s lacking one thing

NicknameNickname1

I just downloaded this after a free one I originally downloaded. Amongst all of the selling points, features and accolades, the largest font size “10” is not very large. This is a simple programming fix and would allow easier visibility at distances greater than 6 feet. I would think that this would be an obvious need and feature for a professional app geared towards professional use by professionals.

Overall, great... two feature requests

BeccaBits

Overall, I think this is a great Teleprompter app and it’s definitely improved the professionalism of our videos... eliminating “um’s” and unplanned pauses. Two features requests: 1. Apple Watch integration so that I can choose to start/pause/restart without touching the tablet. I use my phone to record the videos so I can’t use that. 2. I would LOVE if there was a hybrid VoiceTrack / Pre-set scrolling spreed mode, where I could set the initial SMOOTH scrolling speed and then have the app use VoiceTrack to speed up or slow that down as I spoke. The way VoiceTrack abruptly scrolls is too distracting to be functional on its own.

Trouble accessing microphone prompt

R. Mars Chance

I just purchased this app based on the voice activation feature. However, every time I press place to access my lyrics, I get the warning message that PromptSmart needs mic to be activated on my iPad. Mic activation doesn’t show up for this app. How can I fix this? Settings doesn’t help and the settings button on this PromptSmart app doesn’t work. Can anyone help? Otherwise I just through away $20 for a useless app.

Useless

Seriously? I paid $20 for this? When I purchased it, I reasonably assumed it would be like most other TelePrompter apps in recording mode, where you can see your video in full screen with the words on the screen. NOPE!! The free version did not allow to record, so I couldn’t test it before buying, and took a leap of faith. Now I’m out $20. When you record a video, you only see a square cropped portion of your picture beside the teleprompt. How are you supposed to know if you have everything in your full shot? Answer: you can’t. This automated scrolling doesn’t matter if you can’t see your shot in its entirety.

Jumpy

Very good. But sometimes may jump over a few lines. Guys, fix this and you’ve got yourself a winner.

Voice Tracking Feature Doesn’t Work Well

thedannyfrank

Main reason I bought the app was for this but it still scrolls even when I’m off script. I think it’s detecting number of words spoken rather than the actual words read from the script. This is super annoying.

Okay, but...

frjohnf

Like others have said, its great when it works. I’ve had it crash in the middle of a presentation and that really is embarrassing. It also skips ahead in the script when I use a word or phrase that I may be repeating in the next paragraph and I have to manually scroll back to find my place which makes for a sloppy presentation. I think I’ll just go back to using a pdf in iBooks until the bugs are worked out.

Stopped Once Too Often

BKDovey

This worked ok when it worked. There were several times that it stopped scrolling and I had to manually scroll, which was ok. What was not ok is the two times that it completely froze on me in the middle of my sermon and I couldn’t get it to do anything. I won’t be using this app again unless they can definitely fix the freezing. A waste of good money.

Need to be very close to IPad

Problem is that unless you’re within a foot of the iPad the automatic functions don’t work.
