Embarrassment

RGMilw

Plain and simple: this app is embarrassing in every aspect. Functionality, speed, enhancement to an experience as a client. You can’t switch from one account to another. You can’t use modern features like touchID or faceId. I am embarrassed to say I work as an advisor with this app for clients after trying it out personally for my own accounts.

Need to be updated

I agree with the review stating it does not crash but it has very basic functionality and hard to believe you still have to login using your credentials instead of a fingerprint or facial recognition.

It’s really bad. Come on!

It is inexcusable at this point to not have fingerprint login enabled on a financial app. You are incentivizing your customers and users to use short or insecure passwords because every time they want to log in they have to enter the password. You don’t even work with the iOS Keychain password manager or third party password managers. It’s pretty embarrassing. I can tell you, every chance I get I will be pushing to move my company’s 401k away from Principal and will move my money away from Principal as soon as i can. It is simply INEXCUSABLE. Get your act together please. Also, regarding user experience; you send users to full desktop pages from the mobile app with no clear way to return back to the app. Why are full desktop pages being displayed on mobile at all? It’s not difficult to redesign a page for mobile. A week, tops. Again, please get your act together. People are actually paying you. We expect something better for it.

Account selector doesn't function

T8528sl

I have my account and then a company match view in my 401K. They're separate. To toggle between them there is a menu from the right top that appears and shows both options. Only it doesn't change to the selected account, it just stays on the one you started at. You have to select contributions, or some other sub report on my account view to toggle to the company match view. Is anyone at the helm at Principal for app development? You release a good base app with some limitations and then you don’t ever go back and read the reviews or improve upon it. Your web and mobile app lack of awareness will affect your company financially in the future.

Join the 21st century

I’ve been patiently awaiting a more advanced user interface for over two years. Why not use the exorbitant management fees being charged by your firm and invest in a more user friendly and secure app experience?

Slim Pickings for Financial app

The Man behind E

Fidelity app puts this app to share.

Touch ID?

--fox10fan--

This is a security problem. Without Touch ID, or another way to securely store a password, users may resort to easily remembered and easily broken passwords.

Terrible

What is this? This reeks of some hybrid app solution. No way a native app can produce this horrendous garbage. Hire a couple iOS devs and actually make a useable product. Front-End JS devs need not make a financial app using whatever third-party framework is being used.

It’s 2018!

No Touch/Face ID login No full screen on IPhone X Until these are addressed at a minimum I can’t give it anything better than a single star

It works but...

Yeah it works, yay. This company is the worst in the industry with fees and yet provide the least in return. What a load of rubbish. Can’t wait to be done with them.
