Great Hunter Douglas shade

Weatherreportfan

This shade comes down from the top and up from the bottom, with the touch of a button on our iPhones. Easy and slick! Really like it!

Once you figure it out

the Bobness

Once you figure it out because don't count on an installer to figure it out for you it works exactly as advertised and it is really fun to be able to open and close your blinds with your cell phone.

Expected a lot more

Cypriote

This is an ok start but there needs to be an effort from Hunter Douglas to improve the app: - the app only allows to select a scene for when Nest says I go away but no scene can be selected for when I come home - every time I open the app from outside of my home (i.e. Not connected to my home wifi) it asks me whether I want to connect to my hub or to a sample hub. Why would I want the sample hub now that I have a real one? - I should be able to rearrange the blinds in the order I want - The UI should be re-worked to make it friendlier: do scenes really need to take the whole width of the screen? - why can't I edit scenes from outside my house? - the widget is very pixelated and could look much better. Look at what Philips Hue did. - I've only been using the app for two days so I'm sure I'll find other improvements later

Better than remote

Cre8tv2

I have 5 blinds in one large area. I made three different groups. I found in programming the scenes that you can control the vanes slant which you can't on the remote. Since our windows face South and West this is great. I had a little difficult pairing with the hub, but found that the batteries in the remote were low. It kept going to 1 on the remote. Once I changed the batteries I had no problem. It would be nice if the Hunter Douglas hub would pair directly to Alexa. But since I programmed them for everyday and different scenes it's easy to change one window if I want with the remote. But it would be nice to say Alexa open shade 1. The silhouettes were expensive but worth it since are windows are 70 x 70. Nothing else would have worked because of the weight. We had them for a year before I programmed them to the hub. Since I programmed them I'm happier with the purchase. We just had our WiFi boosted so we don't have intermittent problems. I hope this review helps someone in their decision. I'm happy.

Easy to use app

Isypoof

Set my mornings and evenings and easy to use from phone

Version 1.5.6 Deleted My Shades

James@Vue

Newest version of the app deleted all my shades except one. Tried using the discover function to add the missing shades, but only 1 of 5 shades is now detected.

Powerview clunky and unreliable

Big Mac Swimmer

Have had Rep out once to reset, continue to have inconsistent schedule and scene execution. Software is not reliable and hardware of marginal quality using Apple as a benchmark. For the money not sure I would do again. An American business disappointment lacking in IT innovation despite good shade designs. Outsource IT to others

Great product!

Laserman94

Love being able to control our shades via an app since they are 10' up the wall of our stairway.

Easy so far

Linksys101

App working good with hub and blinds. Have not ran into any issues yet, everything working as advertised.
