Best tracking app for Bose Pulse

Gregory-74

Been testing many apps but this one is the most reliable connecting to my Bose Pulse headphones, getting HR tracking at the gym, even offline (ideal for travelers without 4G abroad) when others would refuse to start (yeah... I’m looking at you, Under Armour Record ;) Cool design, straightforward, basic tracking features for free and you’re not harassed to buy stuff all the time, which might actually convince me to give a shot to the paid workouts!! Respect the potential customer and it will pay back!

Great App that could use a refreshed updated interface

Not Accurate Stats

Used Pear with Polar H7 HR monitor for almost a year. Love having a personal trainer motivate me during running. Also love the options for added music and the ability to pause a workout. Wish Pear developers would update interface so that you don’t have to go into each screen to review Zone HR levels. Also wish Pear could adjust or calibrate the user’s heart rate zones while the user is wearing a HR monitor either during a given workout or calibrate right after a workout has ended and saved. Wish app could be more user friendly.

Still the go to coaching app

This is the fitness app I keep coming back to - esp with an Apple Watch this is happening d to beat - love the watch only mode with my AirPods

Good training plans, and watch

mominsf73

Good app. worked well for me when I realized there was training plans, which is best feature of app (and got me to pay). Other workouts are random and not connected so I never know what to pick, as it is hard to search and the workout is always same. App interface is not great and friendly, but good enough as I dont need when running. Its the only app that gets heart rate from watch, which is why I give 4 star. The last one would be when friendlier.

Apple Watch

The Somali King

I had trouble connecting my watch to the iPhone app during live workout. To fix this, make sure your phone doesn’t go to sleep for the watch to work without any issue such as disconnection. I had an issue a long time not knowing this. Overall, it’s pretty good.

Apple Watch Fail

Dqcvdtpda

Such a good idea, but completely flawed execution with Apple Watch 2&3. Support will tell you to uninstall/reinstall...like I’ve got time to futz around with their buggy app. Dev/QA folks — you shouldn’t release something like this and charge people for an app/premium clearly barely in alpha. Apple Watch fails in both tracking (when you carry your phone and want to get heart rate) and in standalone (can’t reliably transfer workouts from phone). And GPS frequently glitches on longer runs...skipping miles or just blowing up the entire app. Add 2 stars for good coaching/programs. That’s why it’s so frustrating!

Pear Wants Me to Open Another Support Request

BustAGroove

Pear posted this on its' Facebook account on December 14: “Hi Maria, we are so sorry that you have been experiencing issues with the PEAR App/Apple Watch. We would love to try and help resolve these problems. If you wouldn't mind, please feel free to call or email our support team (949-502-8475 or support@pearsports). Thank you!” My response: I’ve opened a few support requests with PEAR Sports and Apple to no avail which also included Apple replacing the watch, setting up watch as new and creating a new Pear Sports account — problem still exists. I made requests to be added to Pear’s beta/tester program and never received a response to that request. At this point, I prefer a refund of my yearly subscription cost as a remedy. Note: Since I gave up on trying to fix Pear’s issues — not worth time and effort, I’ve been using a Garmin watch and Garmin Connect app. Garmin has a much better user experience. Miles, HRM and activities are better tracked.

Good app for runners

dude@126

Used it on iphone for 6 months or so to train for 5k: it was a very good program. Got Apple Watch for XMas. App is good too but horrible to read while exercising: I wish numbers were bigger and on different screens. Last point: app is good for runners, but not that great for the gym as it's hard to pick a program.

Yaye much needed update 8.5

Alienwired

I’ve tried several workout apps and chose this one because it was affordable for all the different workouts that are available . The app monitors your heart rate , finds your optimal workout rate to get maximum benefits. It’s literally like training with a coach. This said it was crazy frustrated when the watch wouldn’t connect or worse stop connection mod work out therefore not getting any “ring” credit. Also doing two consecutive workouts was a big no no without a reboot. Thank you for fixing all the issues with the app and Apple Watch , I was about to give up !!! So far so good, keep up the good work:)

I love the app, use it almost everyday.

But: Please add an option to skip forward and backward within the workout! And maybe a pick up where you left off. Sometimes I miss what the trainer said or want to try something again. Or skip the warm up if I’m doing more than one workout.
