Visuals do not correspond to the workout

During the entire workout the video for first exercise played. Had to continually pause to look at the video for next move. Annoying

Great workouts, frustrating errors

Kellz D

I love the app but for the last 2 weeks I’ve been getting an error message to “try again later” when I try to load or search a for a workout. I have to open and close the app several times before it will finally work. I hope an update is coming soon to remedy the errors, then it’ll will be my perfect partner!

Great Ragnar Training program

JSK-MN

My third year getting ready for Ragnar and this app is fantastic! It keeps me on schedule and provides great workouts that I wouldn’t do otherwise.

I have used this app, Pear, for two years. It is fantastic. It works great with my heart monitor. It works great with Amazon music. The few times I have had problems, the response was super fast, courteous, and kind. This is well worth the subscription.

Love it!

Easy set up. You just need your heart rate monitor and a good pair of shoes your music and ear buds, and you are ready to go. Great workout programs. A very large variety of them. From bicycling to running, walking and strength training. It’s worth the money!

You had me at the Black Keys!

I’ve been looking for an audio based workout app to replace Aaptiv, which has, in my opinion, gone downhill of late. I signed up for the 14 day free trial of Pear, strapped on my HRM, grabbed my phone and headed out for an interval run. I really like that I can select a variety of music styles or play my own music if I so choose. Too many times Aaptiv forced me to listen to music I don’t care for just to get the workout I wanted. The Pear heart rate training model takes good to great. I am particularly appreciative of knowing what zone I’m supposed to be in without even glancing at my watch. The user interface is simple, but I don’t need or want complex when I’m running. The coaching is good without being over the top. After my trial is up I’m going to buy a year long subscription. At $40, it’s a steal. I might even buy an Apple Watch and leave my phone and my HRM strap at home. Keep doing what you’re doing Pear!

I don’t write reviews but this is Awesome - with Apple Watch

This app is amazing. It pushes you to make sure your heart is in the right zone. Telling your when you need to pick it up or slow it down. You also need to watch your phone to make sure you are keeping in the right zone. Forcing you to not play with your phone but focus on your work. I’m really enjoying working out.

Perfect

Works perfect, helps me know what mile I’m on when running. Used it with our high school track team and they loved it. This is an amazing app.

Great Concept, Poor Workouts

Rdwwww

I love the concept. However, there are big issues: - I'd consider myself to be in very good shape. As such, I need "advanced" workouts. Finding these is very tough, as most workouts are geared towards total beginners - So, related to the above point, the search functionality needs MAJOR overhaul; it's extremely poor at the moment - Even within "advanced" workouts, there is a bizarre propensity to go directly from zone 2 to zone 5, and vice versa. That's really odd, and doesn't make much scientific sense. It'd make a lot more sense to build in some time in zone 3 or even 4. Going to zone 2 each time after a high intensity interval also completely takes the intensity out of a workout - Related to the above, more advanced workouts are desperately needed - Also, cardio only and cardio+weight workouts need to be more clearly delineated. I only use Pear for cardio, so the weight components are not useful - I'd love an option to "minimize" coach monologues. Once I've done a workout several times, I just need the basics, no need the give me the whole spiel about topic "x" every time - This one is minor, but in tracking only, I'd love if the graph started out zoomed in more, and for it to zoom out as you went. Right now, it's massively zoomed out from the start I am a premium subscriber, and, for now, I'll stay. I just wish you wouldn't cater almost exclusively to total beginners, and I'm staying in the hope that you'll make a lot of improvements in the near future.
