Excellent app to access a Mac remotely

EdDallasTX

Very reliable and user friendly app. The app launcher using icons is very useful and makes it easy to open programs. I’ve been able to reach into my iMac even from my iPhone and actually get things done. Of course from an iPad is even better. Highly recommend it.

update needed for ipad pro

keyboard and mouse not working

mouse and keyboard are not working on my new ipad pro!

No good when you have multiple monitors and one is small

dvandusen

I cannot adjust to the proper location on the monitor because one of my monitors is smaller than others... The smaller one is forced by access to use the same display positioning of the largest one when in access mode -- where all monitors are forced to have same display. In that mode the smallest monitor crops the display somewhat and then leaves some space elsewhere so that I cannot get to various places to make mouse clicks. Since it is difficult on the iPad to force safari to directly display the remote.... Because you are forced to go into Access client... You have no option to use browser unless you use Firefox and then you are Missing the controls, and you spiral into u usability.

Tremendously useful, but needs an update

Samuel Canney

I love this app, it is amazing to have as a student and a video producer. Some things to be wanted, namely expanding the interface to take up the whole screen on my 11” iPad Pro

A lot of lag with the recent releases

lanwarrior

I have been using Parallel Access (PA) for more than 2 years and generally, the performance is very good. I can connect via cellular and still have decent speed. However, since early 2019, something happened where EVERYTHING is lagging. When I connect to a remote computer, it takes MINUTES to enter ONE character in the login screen. No changes to my network at all and I still have fast speed (see above - was working in the last 2 years). For testing, I purchased Jump Desktop, which offer similar remote access solution and I have zero lag. I even tried to connect when I am using 3G (around 200 Kbps) and I have no problem connecting using Jump Desktop. So SOMETHING has changed with the Parallel Access app (iOS or Mac) that makes it lag so bad. Of course, tech support is clueless and blamed my network speed, Mac, etc.

It doesn’t work

iDenys1024

It only shows display from my Mac, and let me launch apps but all touch interactions simply don’t work.

One word...useless

Vt201111212

This is just a waste of money. Nothing works well. Super dissapointed

Only supports 12.9 and 9.7 resolutions

wingdo

iPad Pro users are most likely to pay a yearly subscription, yet the app doesn’t support 10.5 or 11 inch resolutions, large black bands on an iPad 11. Could be a great program, but if it won’t support modern iPad Pro resolutions, it’s not worth the price.

Horrible for CalStateLA students

J23Edgar

I’m a student at CSULA and need to use SPSS program within this application. All kinds of issues trying to connect this with my iPhone. Also, tried using it with my computer and it keeps trying to “find the computer”. I gave up and decided to simply go on campus and use the computers there. This app is not ready for the 21st century of mobile friendly applications. Most business is conducted via mobile phones and this cannot compete with the current market.
