I've been using Overcast since 1.0 and it is a superb podcast listening experience. Voice Boost and Smart Speed are fantastic features. It's nice to see the developer trying new approaches so Overcast can continue. The ads are unobtrusive when selecting a podcast to listen to, and out of the way completely when listening. While I prefer the light theme as orange is my favorite color, the dark theme is nice at night time, especially in the car.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had paid for the full version before the latest update made everything free and couldn't be more happy that I did. It was absolutely worth the money I paid and I'm glad I got to support such a great app. Now that it's free you should have no excuse not to get it! UPDATE: wow, what a difference a year makes. Once the best podcast app I have ever used, Overcast has become the #1 app to avoid in my opinion. This app went from a premium upgrade, to completely free, to a yearly fee. What comes next? You can't trust the developer and there is no way this is worth a yearly fee, especially since I've already paid for it! Run don't walk from this app!

I use Overcast every single day. Smart Speed is great (and has saved me 56 HOURS ... which I've squandered listening to more podcasts). The app is beautiful, brilliant, and bulletproof. Download it, then give the guy 10 bucks to go premium. For me, that's like a penny an hour. It's well worth it.

Hands down the best podcast app around. These recent low reviews exclusively due to the FREE app having ads are absurd. Get it together people. Smart speed has saved me 98 hours of listening time since I have started using the app. Absolutely amazing.

I wish that Google ads didn't need to show those distracting arrow and X buttons in the upper right. That's it. The app is actually really good. Seriously. The voice boost really works and fixes many annoying podcasts.

I love the smart speed feature (most of the time) and the interface is great. Would love to see a way to make an "on the go" playlist.
