Great podcast app!

Jsquanto

Only issue is podcasts get buggy when playing a podcast on WiFi and switching to cellular network.

Poor Feature Set

Zebing

All I want is the simplest of things. I want to listen to my podcast in chronological order and be able to see the show notes while I listen. After ten minutes of frustration I have given up.

Useful simple podcast

Great app, very easy to use and intuitive.

Best Podcast App

For the free apps this is definitely the best. I think I’ve tested every app in the App Store and this is the only one that came close to what I wanted in an app. Some podcast I want to keep while others I don’t even want if I miss for a few days. This app gives the ability to select these settings for each. All the interface is awesome and really like. I would be more than happy to pay a few bucks to get rid of the ads but don’t see the option and guess since the app is about listing and not looking at the screen ads don’t really bother one way or the other.

Apple Watch app play/pause button not working

SF81

The play/pause button on the Apple Watch app frequently needs to be tapped 2 or 3 times before it will actually pause or play.

Intuitive Podcast App

Anonyhouse

This is the most intuitive and customizable free podcast app I've come across.

One Request

Gohome190

Just one thing keeps this from a full 5 stars: I’d love the ability to sort the podcasts by most-recently-updated!

GREAT for spoken word - especially at higher speeds

DJ Rizzo

The best podcast app for sound quality when you want to listen at faster speeds. But it drives me insane that it doesn’t separate out podcasts where all queued/downloaded episodes have been played. Yes, it has a “played podcasts” section but in reality it is an “all episodes deleted” section because it only considers a podcast episode "played" if you delete it. Sometimes I want to keep a played episode in the main list so I can remember to play it for my wife or download the episode later so I can keep a copy (I have to use Downcast app for that). Also, this makes no sense to me considering a played episode turns gray when in the list. Lemme get this straight: if all episodes are grayed out that means they have all been played... but it is still not enough to move the episode to the “played podcasts” section of the app. This drives me nuts because I have several podcasts subscriptions and I want to see only the ones with I played episodes at the top of the list. Instead I have to open each individual podcast to find the ones that actually have unplayed contend. I’m a paid subscriber and I BEG the developer to remedy this!

Loved it, had to delete it

DarroninHawaii

Loved the app, and it deserved all the high ratings, but when I got my new iPhone X I noticed battery drain issues, and Overcast was the culprit. Even if I hadn’t used overcast that day, it would always show as having used over 50% of my battery for the day. Hopefully there will be an update soon. Until then I have to knock a couple stars off.

Overcast is Great

This app does a really good job of optimizing the time spent listening to podcasts. It speeds up and slows down the podcast at certain times and does it better than any other app I have encountered
