I like how it keeps track exactly of where you left of in all episodes. Also easy to fast forward or rewind 30 secs at a time.

Great app love the speed up options and smart speed. Helps me get through all of my podcasts in no time. Used to get so behind listening at normal speeds, but these features are great. I can’t go back to any other app because of the way overcast allows you to speed up podcasts so well.

I've been using Overcast for as long as it's existed and Marco continues to make it better and better. The new Black theme looks fantastic on my iPhone X (as intended). At this point the only thing I'd really request is to let me have a black and orange theme. Call it Halloween theme. You can have that one for free.

The Initial setup of the app is a pleasant surprise. It has a way to import your OPML list from whatever other podcast app you are currently using. This worked like a dream, even with a “members only” podcast I subscribe to that has a complex URL. The steps were even customized for the app I was taking the data from. This made switching from a different app so simple. You can set custom speeds for different podcasts. With 4.0.x there is now multitouch drag and drop for reordering playlists or for moving episodes to other playlists.

This is a very elegant, clean App that gives you everything you want just as a free App. If you upgrade the paid version you get some extra goodies, plus you’re supporting a great indie developer. The new Ads are elegant and actually interesting to look at. I’ve actually found a few interesting podcasts I still listen to from them. Added to all that is the fact the creator is a very open and honest guy, you read through his FAQ and his Privacy Policy (Which is in normal English) and you feel like you know exactly what you are getting when you spend your money. It's developers like Marco I want to support because his business plan is built on being straight forward and honest and just giving me, the customer, awesome features to enjoy! Thanks again Marco!!

Best Podcast App

By far the best podcast app for iPhone. Smart Speed is awesome. The detailed controls and everything you get for free is impressive. Ads are tasteful and only for podcasts if you use the free version. Paying for the subscription removes the ads. Will continue to use this as my only podcast app. Thanks Marco!

Still the Best Podcast Player

Everything about the Overcast player is excellent. It is easy to add podcasts. The general controls are completely intuitive and there are multiple ways to get around to satisfy anyone could want. Once you have used “Smart Speed” and “Voice Boost” you can’t listen to podcasts anywhere else without longing for these two features.
