I booked a trip through Orbitz and then COVID struck. I chose to credit my account instead of getting a refund. Big mistake! Orbitz to deal with Orbitz has been a nightmare! Hours on the phone! Personnel who are hard to understand and are not knowledgeable! Do not even get me started with the Virtual help! Disaster and I will never use them again!

Terrible service

No longer using Orbitz

I have been on the phone now for 3 hours and 52 minutes trying to rebook a flight. The rep and I agree on a flight. They put me on hold for a minimum of 25-45 minutes only to come back and say that flight is booked. One call I was on hold for 45 minutes. The call dropped and I never received a call as they take your number in case the call is cut off and she even took my cc info the the price difference. Third call I’ve been on hold for 55 minutes. They found me a flight but ask me to hold. And I. Having to tend to my mom here at the hospital… the reason I’m having to rebook. I will never use Orbitz again and you can be sure this will be on social media. A person by the name of that ren was who assisted me last. She just came on the line said it would be two hours. She wanted me to stay on the line for an additional two hours. So now she’ll be calling me at midnight…insane!

Avoid Orbitz at all costs! I booked a stay that was cancelled due to covid lockdowns, and they wouldn’t refund, but instead gave me a “coupon” on usable at the same hotel that expires in a year. We used it for next year, but sure enough, the country was still closed to travelers for covid. I asked for a refund again and they said the coupon is not worth any money, so they just took all my money for the coupon. I lost thousands of dollars with no way to get it back. I’m never using Orbitz again, and I hope you don’t either.

I use Orbitz a lot , but I was impressed most recently when k was chatting with one of their agents about a question I had, the chat got disconnected due to internet issues, and instead of just leaving, the agent called me and finished working with me. In other places when this happens they just leave you and you have to start all over again with someone. Really appreciated this!

I was looking all over the website for the past month now, and still not able to find any cheaper flights with less layover, and getting there to my destination in the morning instead of at night for a cheaper flight. On top of that, I was able to get cheaper airfare on the airline that I wanted with a premium economy class, and with 2 free luggage checks in and a carry-on bag. The app was user-friendly and easy to navigate. And very easy to read and understand. I was happy. And I got what I wanted. Honestly, I wanted a business class but unfortunately, I was not able to find cheaper airfare for business class. But hey, I'm happy with what I got.

Hard to share travel plans

I want to send an itinerary for my whole trip to my sister. The app doesn’t have any screen or information share option that includes both my outgoing and return flight. I also can’t copy any text from the app. I could do a screen share but I’d have to send two and they aren’t searchable. Clunky to say the least. This seems like such a basic feature.

I have to say that it was great. I never write reviews but this place for the mi ey was amazing. A huge room, clean, new feeling, a mini kitchen, a great breakfast, super fast internet on the computers down stairs, unlimited printing, coffe al the time! , etc etc. I have stayed at so many hotels and for the money this is great.
