A consumer scam

An absolute scam . As a physician and diabetic who used glucose meter for years , this device is an absolute scam . It does not connect to smartphone . Very cumbersome everything to try to transfer the results to the app directly . A regular glucose meter has a better memory and doctors can download all its data on their chart with ease . This so called One Drop is gimmick to sell consumers so called low carb food products . What a shame and frustration I feel as a diabetic !!!!
Unreliable Blue Tooth Connection This Meter

****EDIT**** I received a response from the developer directing me to contact their “expert”, Grace. I have already spoken with Grace who seems to operate as a company spin doctor more than anything else. She directed me to quit the app, wait for thirty seconds, open the app, press the button on the meter a few times, and see if it syncs because “Bluetooth is funny”. Sometimes this process works. Most of the time it does not. The meter has not been able to sync with my phone all day. Maybe my meter is bad (One Drop refuses to take it back or send a replacement.) or maybe their entire setup is junk. One Drop staff says they’re “thrilled” I can get my meter to sync on occasion after fiddling around with the app and the meter, but I’m just disappointed with how badly it works. ORIGINAL REVIEW Expect to have to fiddle with the meter and the app to get your readings to sync. I received their meter today and thought it was defective because the Bluetooth connection would not work right. I have already spent 2 hours trying to get it to work, over an hour by myself and nearly an hour with their tech support. The end result was tech support telling me this was typical behavior for the app. Expect to be told to leave the app open, then if it doesn’t work, close the app, then wait 30 seconds, then reopen the app, then press the button on the meter a few times to cycle through the readings that haven’t synced, then hopefully it will sync with the app, but if not repeat the process or check your blood sugar again until it syncs! So while my old process took 5 seconds, this new process takes over 30!

A few updates ago my iPhone 8 Plus stopped recording steps and activity. The update yesterday said it was fixed, not true. This feature is still broken. I really enjoy that feature along with the others. Please fix.

Slowed down the more I used it. Too bad as is otherwise a good app. Frequently shuts down when using even after the update. Looking for a better option.

This app has been my anchor, grounding me to stabilized blood sugars. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in November. I’m also in my late 30’s and to find this out one day suddenly after experiencing symptoms that were similar to what I was hearing had appeared like diabetes symptoms, is somewhat frightening. But I found this app on the App Store when I was hospitalized. I wanted to see what was out there as far as health apps for diabetics. I’m glad I’m subscribed to the test strips program and got my glucometer. Everything is synced to my phone. I was logging my bg readings before the test strips even arrived. It led me to buy an Apple Watch too all because I wanted as much as I could get to help keep me oriented towards activity goals and weight loss, also monitoring my heart rate. I like that it has the bar code scanner for logging my food. I just with there was an option to manually enter the label’s nutritional info when a certain product isn’t found in the library. That would be awesome. Love this app! I’m on my way hopefully to defeated diabetes in my own life! God willing!

I received my new One Drop meter. I followed all setup procedures and troubleshooting tips. My brand-new meter does not sync to the app. At this point, I have to say it’s a piece of junk
