This app was spotty at best when it did work, but now it appears that Nissan has disabled it entirely with no estimate as to when it will return. I used to use it often to activate climate control remotely, which was a big selling point on this silly car.

It's always been insanely slow, but now it just doesn't work.

Don't waste your time, the app fails saying "the service cannot be provided". That may be because access to the Leaf has been hacked, but I can still reach my car using their web site. Nissan should pull this app so they stop frustrating their car owners.

You've taken a sub-par app that worked okay, and with this new version, blocked me from logging in completely. I have a Leaf and have been using previous versions of the Nissan-branded app for the last two years. As of this version, here's what I get: -- A 30 second "Nissan Connect" splash screen at app launch -- App doesn't remember any of my credentials -- After signing in all over again, I get a message that says "The service cannot be provided. Please try it again or contact NISSAN. To this day, I have not been able to sign in successfully at all to this app and control my car's functions remotely. The Leaf is a great car, but unfortunately the app and its support is a major disappointment and a piece of trash. Nissan should be embarrassed.

As an app designer/developer I'm amazed Nissan hasn't updated the app in 3 months... That update was to fix bugs, go figure! What are they telling 2016 owners???

Come on guys, I can't even log into the app on my iPhone 6. Get it together!

This app simply does not work. Doesn't even start. A horrible attempt by Nissan to "upgrade"

This app never works. Such a disappointment, especially given the Leaf's tech savvy customer base. Could have a lot of potential, but now I can't even log in to the program. Grrrrrr! Love the car but this makes me think twice about getting another Leaf in the future.

After a few years of successfully connecting and controlling charging and climate control - the new app fails to connect to the service and there is no customer service feature in the app to report to Nissan. This soils a once very positive Nissan Leaf customer experience and raises question if Nissan is serious about support EV transportation needs in the future. Add that Nissan needs to upgrade cellular connectivity at user expense, it is time to consider alternative ev solutions.
