Where’s the widget?!

This app sorely needs a native widget for iOS. My current workaround of connecting through the Wink app to get a working widget is not sustainable. Also, iPhone X optimization would be great. A company as large as Nest has no real excuse to not have an up to date app after 2 months.

Auto away mode being set by your phone's location does NOT work. If you search google you will see that so many people are having problems with auto-away. Btw if you set to manual schedule ( which many do) then auto away mode does not work. Okay set away mode manually when you leave the house or go on holiday. This does NOT work either. As soon as your schedule triggers to turn on (say 6pm) your manually set away mode turns off. A smart thermostat that is dumb. The problem is the software- it is buggy and not well designed. So stick to a $25 thermostat with a flexible schedule option.
Many issues including a huge size of the app

The app needs a redesign. Hopefully that redesign will include a smaller app bundle size. For an app I use rarely to control my thermostat, it takes up an insane amount of space on my phone.
Fix the loading issue!!

We use this as a baby monitor. On our android, iPhone, and iPad the app shows a continuous loading icon. There are no issues with the internet as the video shows fine on our desktop. This has been going for three days now( since 1/3/2018). I’ve tried deleting and installing the app again. Doesn’t work!

The video playback has gotten so slow lately. Sometimes playback hangs. Doesn’t mater what browser, connection, etc.
Not registering temp changes

Like many others, suddenly the app won't change the temp. It's been great till now. I have an iPhone 8 and no other internet issues with WiFi.

Ridiculously laggy, shuts off randomly, says WiFi isn’t working when that’s completely false... extremely disappointed I spent so much money on the camera that does NOTHING because the app & website apparently don’t have enough bandwidth to support the stream.

App needs an update or upgrade. It continuously shows the thermostats disconnected from the WiFi when they’re not. Please fix this issue Nest.

We love our new nest system. Connecting the security system to our nest app was so easy and it works really well. The only problem is we can’t shorten the time between motion detection and the alarm sounding. It would be absolutely perfect with that feature being added.
App crashes repeatedly

12/2017 Another update - still crashes repeatedly on iPad and iPhone. Loses connectivity and yet again. What a waste. So disappointed. I used to love my drop cam and nest... i don’t know what happened in recent updates but now the app crashes a Multiples times a night, sometimes multiple times an hour. These are used as video monitors for my babies, so this leaves a lot of anxiety for this mom. My iPhone seems to work better than the iPad, not sure if that matters. [12/23 Update, both iPhone 7+ and iPad mini (new) nest app crash or freeze spinning. Still waiting for nest to figure this out, it’s taking forever. Don’t buy this if you’re trying to use as baby monitors, completely unreliable] i hope Nest reads this and gets this resolved ASAP. At this route i will have to go buy another true video monitor so i can sleep knowing i will see and hear them 100% of the time. ? update, the app continues to crash repeatedly throughout the night and it doesn’t move. We have strong WiFi connectivity in the house. Extremely disappointed in Nest and the app. Notifications still work but not the monitor. It full on crashes and goes to the home screen, or says “try again” to connect to the network. Super disappointed. Fix it NEST!
