Good but needs fixes

Overall the UI is easy to use. Adding products is a breeze. However it has some significant issues that need fixing and improving: 1) No iPhone X display support yet? Come on. Most major apps did this a long time ago. 2) Sometimes it takes a long time to start viewing a camera feed (spinning icon). 3) No 3D Touch support, which would make things like setting/unsetting the alarm as easy as you would expect. Having to go into the app so often is slow. 4) Sometimes it fails to notify me when I’m arriving home to turn off the alarm, which is fast with the notification. So I have to open the app, wait for it to connect, go to Security... too long. 5) Official Siri support. HomeBridge is a good workaround but doesn’t yet support the alarm system. I doubt Google will do this but I’m not going to buy their Home products.

Can’t even view video anymore

Don’t know what happened to Nest, but all three cameras cannot be viewed in the app anymore. All I get is the spinning blue circle and maybe a frozen video frame updated every 30 seconds. Thanks Nest! Seems to be that you aren’t monitoring these reviews for issues. Lots of 1 stars lately...

Doesn’t work anymore

The Nest indoor camera worked great about a month ago. I was able to monitor my baby through my iPhone with ease. The picture quality was flawless and the 2-way communication mic was a huge plus. But now it’s not working at all. App is stuck loading and I find myself staring at the blue circle loading icon before it times out completely. Im not sure if it’s because my Nest free trial ended (have to pay $10 per month) or the latest updated is buggy, never the less, it needs to be fixed soon or else the Nest camera is useless .

Among the worst app and products I’ve ever used. Before I review, some background. I’m computer savvy, I currently run windows 10, iOS, android and Linux. The nest thermostat does what I now call ghost scheduling. Those of you that know of Nest would say to yourself the Nest is learning from the auto schedule and you can change it within the app. Not so, over the past year I’ve done both a hard reset and reset on the schedule. And I’ve turned off auto scheduling. I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, all to no avail. I have done countless searches to solve the problem, read the user manual over and over again, watched how to videos, and search discussion forums. The sad part is it’s costing me more in high utility bills for the Nest ghost scheduling. The nest thermostat should have a glowing red eye, stating sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t do that. If you just purchased a nest thermostat or got one for Christmas return it now and never look back.

Can’t turn video on

Annoying. Once today camera and app worked. Now it won’t. I’ve tried WiFi and cellular. I’m so annoyed with this app. Last time it was the microphone won’t stay off. I’ve done all the basic troubleshooting. Fix your app!!!

Reviewing video is extremely slow and inconsistent. Some motion events will load and play right away while other will take 30seconds plus to load

I’m so bummed. Bought the expensive cameras only to deal with a terrible app. I highly recommend purchasing a different system. This was my first try for an internal camera system and I wish I did more research. Per the reviews it’s obvious the app is terrible. I also have high powered WiFi.

I can’t use the app to view my camera or listen to sound. Barely works with playback too. The app was great till it was updated!

Nest is great - I can keep my home secure and check in on my dog when I'm away with no difficulty. The products are such good quality and I love the app's design. ??

Not detecting movement - buyer beware!!!

Why on earth are folks giving 4 and 5 stars when the new version doesn't even catch all movement? Isn't that the purpose of the camera???? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the previous version until you guys figure it out. UPDATE: Jan 2018, this service is worst. All it does is spin constantly!!! It's soooo unfortunate Google/Nest Aware are overriding the actual user reviews and making themselves look better than they really are... SAD!!!
