Beware of using the app with sensitive info
Not happy with Neat
Neat can't tell me where documents that I tried to email myself from the app ended up. Does that seem like a competent technical team? Buyer beware.
Unstable app

App is unstable. Crashes on bulk scans, start up, before photo, after photo, when i hit the check matk. Fails to sync after crash. Data lost. Starting over. Sigh.

Stuck in update mode and now can't update nor delete the app just a useless shadow on my screen. Incredibly bad app.

No customer service. I scanned a very simple receipt and 12 hours later it was still "processing" it. In 1 hour I can manually scan and sort 50 receipts with the regular scanner. Useless app.

I have given this app numerous chances, but it is seriously the worst. It's unreliable, customer service and support are a joke, and it's wasted time and money. When I consider the amount of time and information I have lost trying to figure out what has gone wrong and re-creating data that has been lost in transmission or in syncing I become furious. I have hesitated in switching apps because I didn't want to waste the original time I spent in inputting data. But I realize now that I should have cut my losses. I have lost huge chunks of data, spent numerous hours recreating and resubmitting data because either the app crashes as I'm uploading, doesn't fully sync, or prioritizes the wrong device in syncing -- erasing numerous pieces of recently uploaded receipts. Buyer beware. Worst investment ever.

In my humble opinion the scanner and desktop version are a good solution. The cloud based app require VM & Stg upgrade which require a CapEx spend they need to process. Stay tuned or leave so you free up memory for the early adopters!

As others have mentioned this app continually crashes with no known error messages and never anything to report. Wether you are scanning, importing, or simply editing a receipt, it fails. I use Neat Windows Desktop software for my business and I think it's decent. Despite having some of its own flaws, you would think as you sign into Neat Cloud your category names would all populate in the app for you to scroll through and select when editing the categories. Neat Cloud seems buggy too at times as when I can get a receipt scanned in, sometimes it uploads and some times it disappears even though it shows its been uploaded. Bottom line this app needs some work and a serious update.
Great marketing, bad products

Every product I've owned from Neat has underperformed and was very buggy. I keep using them because they're the only company that provides what I need - a way to store the mountain of digital data I need to manage. I've tried other methods - just to get away from having to use their buggy software. Another company could make a fortune by simply providing a stable alternative.
