Doesn’t recognize my phone with new update-FIXED!

J'Petunia

After the update today, there is a break down in communication between my phone and my car for the remote actions. It still can check the status of the car, but any action gives me a response of Device ID is invalid. [C401_9] Not sure if another update came out or not, but I set up another device-worked. Then reset my Touch ID on my phone, and that worked too. So, it’s all fixed and I love this app.

Lots of great ideas, execution is OK...

The remote access features are all great, but are much slower and less responsive than they should be in order to be useful. It’s also oddly frustrating that the image of the car on the home screen is generic and not the actual model/ color of the car that’s connected.

App stopped working after the latest update

Unhappy newsday app user

This morning there was an app update that caused me to get an error message about my face recognition. I reset the face recognition as instructed and I still get the same message. The app no longer works. No satisfied at all!

Disappointing

Slight improvement lately but still a horrible app to try to use. Not consistent at all! Would much rather have a remote start on the key fob. The latest and greatest isn’t so great. Please please fix this! Ugh!

Online service is SLOW

Simmplicity

It takes far too long to get a response from the Bluelink servers when I login or submit a request. Sometimes it’s just not useful because it’s so slow.

Would be a 5 star but...

App is easy to use, efficient, and works great. Once in a while there is an error when trying to start the car, but not always a big deal. I would rate 5 stars, but my biggest issue with the app is how there is not an option to stop your flashers/hazard lights from being on when your car is started remotely. It can be really obnoxious, especially when you live in an apartment complex. If there was an option to turn this off, I would rate 5 stars. Hopefully this can be updated in the future.

Not a fan

I really dislike this app. The only thing that makes a Chicago winter bearable, is a remote start. I would say it only works 1/4 of the time. I hate being cold. Tells me I don’t have the climate controls set correctly. I set the front defrost every time before I get out of the car. Have it set on 2. Tells me unsuccessful most of the time, and other times it works just fine, with the same settings. I don’t change anything! If I had known this before I bought my Hyundai Sante Fe, I would not have bought it. I’ll take a key fob remote start any day over this crappy app.

Doesn’t work!

Rocko3400

I bought a new 2020 Tucson six weeks ago. Blue link hasn’t worked since day one. 12 call to Bluelink later has not helped. Beware of Hyundai, their warranty isn’t what they say it is!

(Workaround fix) Device iD Invalid error

PolkLule

Edit: I got a developers response and the workaround fixed my issue that I stated below. App is working fine. Jan 27 I’m getting a device ID invalid error after upgrading to today’s new update.

Device ID Invalid

RayWmsII

Latest update broke all remote functionality except Vehicle Status. All features still work from their website, myhyundai.com. Update: Nice to see that my negative review prompted a quicker response than my email to support. The suggested workaround appears to have addressed the issue for the moment. I’ll re-evaluate my rating once a true fix has been release.
