I bought a Hyundai brand new a few years back. The Hyundai app back then half worked/half not. Since then they have updated and this app works better. One thing ... and it’s important... if your car is not locked the remote start will not work. It’s a safety thing. They don’t tell you that (or they didn’t me). So if you just turn off your car and park it in a garage and want to remote start it remember to lock it.

Getting device error when remote start

Getting [401_9] Device ID error after recent update. Logged out and back in. Was able to get status update complete but not remote start.

Latest Update Stinks!!

The latest update made many features useless (remote start for example). I am getting the same error that many others are as well. Disappointed!!

...there are still bugs. Particularly with cached credentials in FaceID and especially after performing app updates. Still, it’s considerably better than it was, so they get stars for improving reliability and speed. Disabling FaceID, logging out, Force-closing the app, logging back in and re-enabling FaceID worked around that bug for me. Maybe it’ll help somebody else.
