Nice app but too expensive

Extremely displeased mother

I bought my 2014 enclave certified used in 2016. My app service is now expiring and I was appalled at how much it costs to simply start or unlock my car with my phone (now $18.99 a month). Also, the plan I had is no longer available and I now need to pay for additional services I don’t need nor will I use them. The app works great. I have no complaints about its functionality, just the exorbitant cost.

Loved the app, especially the Buick Smart Driver part of it. It suddenly stopped working. It no longs scores daily trips. Doesn’t even connect to app. Hmmmmm! Please fix. Please.

APP is excellent but dealership leaves a great deal to be desired in their performance and quality of work for the money they charge. Truly a bad exchange and makes the value of the APP almost worthless. It is like having a lamp but the electricity is not only questionable but is overvalued!

I loved having the remote command features like starting my car from my phone. I even got another Encore because of it. But, now they are charging $14.99 a month to use it when it used to be free of charge...


GM APP

My Buick

I have a 2016 Buick Verano and I use the Gm On-Star App. I have only 1 problem, with the app in starting the car app, but that is due to the phone trying to use wi- do and cell data at the same time. Once I get further away from the wi-go source or turn off the wi-fi , I have no problems with the app. I use the app all the time to start my car, to lock and unlock my car, to check the tire pressures, to check the online owners manual, to schedule service ( if I need it ). I also use the Buick Smart Rewards driver, to make me aware of how I drive. All of these reviews that have the Buick app, should try the GM On-Star app. I also have a I Phone- X and still have no problems.

I love the fact that I can start my car, lock doors, etc from the app. Recently it seems that as soon as I close the app it logs me out. Not sure why since you have to enter your password or use your fingerprint to actually use any of the functions. At least allow fingerprint access to open the app or save the information. Having to re-enter the password for each use is becoming annoying.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Every time I try to log on, I'm told "username or password is incorrect". I've reset password successfully on myBuick.com and deleted/reinstalled app on phone. Still get same message. Then, after 3 tries, I'm told "account locked. Try again in 10 minutes". What good is that if I'm locked out of my car or want to start it remotely?????

It seems since the recent update, I have to sign in every time I use the app. I have the updated app and operating system on phone. Ive deleted and reinstalled the app and I continue to get the user session expired (401-1) message.


Ruined a great app

Not a happy Encore Driver

You ruined a great app. Until today I could enter addresses via my app while NOT in my automobile. Now I have to be in my automobile and manually enter each of the locations I want to go to. If I wanted to use On Star I wouldn’t have purchased a car with a Navigation System. OnStar should not be forcing drivers to use their service!!! Put the ability to send destinations to the vehicles Navigation System back on the app.
