Switching phone problem and crashing app

1. You can’t easily change phones and keep your passes. 2. The app is unstable and unreliable

Just a website wrapper

JAWMN

I installed this hoping, like the other reviewer, to have a solution to bookmarking the nextrip for my favorite routes and stops. The metrotransit.org website for nextrip uses (unnecessarily, afaict) a form submission that can’t be bookmarked, with one exception. On iOS, you can add your route+stop to the home screen and for some reason that works. However, if you click the “Show My Bus” link there, you get a full screen map with no way to get back to the departure times. Even closing that window and reopening the home screen link takes you back to the map and I haven’t figured out the magic needed to undo this. It seems like it requires some combination of closing all safari windows and waiting X minutes. Long story short, the nextrip features of this app seem to just be an embedded safari and so the same annoyances exist. There’s no built in way that I see to save links to your favorite routes or stops. Metro transit, please consider this a bug report or feature request for both your website and app.

Mapa no longer show up at all

XtremeNawesome

I think it was late 2018 or sometime in 2019 when the maps stopped showing up at all for anything. This app just needs to fix the bugs and it’ll be as good as possible.

Ate my money

just_Testing

Developer people, please fix this app already. The Super Bowl is coming to town and this app has junk ratings on stability and reliability. Yes, this app did eat my money, I bought a day pass to use and it just took the money and I wasn’t able to apply it for a ride on the light rail. I still log in and see the record of purchase without the ability to redeem said purchase for a ride. Come on now people, if we are to show off this state for the Super Bowl shouldn’t we have a digital public transit app that actually works, is stable, and doesn’t eat ones money like a poorly maintained vending machine. PS if someone actually reads this, please fix the android version of this app too, same issues; and also please make the iOS version available on an iPad.

Useful

This is a super easy app to use for its purpose, which is to buy and redeem bus fares. It’s not too flashy but very funcional and can be used offline. Just as easy as a Togo card

Missed opportunity

NorthWriter

I’m an app designer for a living. This app has the potential to be awesome, but right now it’s missing a lot. I buy my transit passes with it on days I take the bus or light rail because it’s easy to just show the driver or transit cop the pass, but that’s all you can do with it. There are no schedules or routes, no maps, no other tool that would make the rider’s burden easier. Just tickets. This would have been an amazing app for during the Super Bowl, but it just wasn’t very well thought out.
