The app used to work fine until there was an update requiring location access to allow it to work. There is no reason you need to know where I am located. My phone is on the same network last the television and it worked fine. Stop data mining or I’ll take it back and buy another brand that doesn’t.

I like the ability of being able to control my tv with my phone especially now that I’ve misplaced my remote. However, I do not like that I have to constantly reconnect the tv with my phone. I love my LG tv but I prefer the Roku remote app that I use for my other TVs. My main suggestion is: allow for TV to stay connected to a device at all times. This will allow us to turn the TV on with my app and it will allow reduce my frustration with having to pair the TV to my app every time I leave the app.

Totally useless. Was never able to connect to any of my 3 different LG TV. LG need to hire some real programmer/software engineer that actually know how to write code.

You do know when you make an app it’s suppose to function correctly? Come on LG fix this it’s absolutely embarrassing

Requires excessive location permissions, cannot find TVs on same network. App may be deprecated as it advertises the app that controls air conditioners.

Can’t use the app without your location. Why do you need my location to use a remote or put photos on TV?

I can’t find my remote for my tv so I went on here to see if there were any apps that would work for my LG tv. It said I had to turn on my tv and it would say connect but I was standing in front of my tv and it didn’t show any connection to my tv. I don’t know why it won’t work please help me :( .

It worked when I first downloaded it but ever since then it doesn’t work at all. Very frustrating.

Turn WiFi on it says. WiFi is on. Problem was “Precise Location” needs to be enabled in Location Services for the app to function. No need for this app to know my location. The app does function well if you don’t mind the “privacy invasion” & added battery drain. No thanks. Deleting. There are 3rd party apps that work just as well.
