Need to have TV switched on!!

Bizarre. You need to have the tv switched on to use the app! I have a three year old Sony Android tv that the Sony app can switch on.

Does what it says, but why oh why are location services required?? And why does the description say it’s not mandatory but the app automatically closes if you don’t allow access to your location? LG does not need to know where I am to let me use my phone as a remote.

I have had to delete and redownload every single time I want to use the remote tonight. It’s saying I’m not connected via WiFi.

Ok, well, about seven months ago I downloaded this app. I was ok when I found out you couldn’t turn on the tv with it, as our tv has a button that turns it on. I like that you can create a profile. But about four weeks ago, my connection shut off, like when I tried to connect the app to our tv, it said that the television was off. Now I was annoyed ?. Our tv was on Netflix, and the app just refused to connect. Now, because my brother and I always lose the remote, we rely completely on our dad because be has the app too. This virtual remote was useful while it lasted...

Says to have my television on and connected to the same network, no problem, but it simply cannot find the tv. Waste of time, don’t bother.

I’m always having issues with it connecting to the TV. It’ll probably work once and then it disconnects and when I try to reconnect it doesn’t connect, ridiculous. Terrible app.
Worst “smart app”

Can’t resolve WiFi connection with the TV. Worked for the first week and then it never worked again. Horrible.
