Zero get a Samsung. This is an lg thing tthay build Garbage. If you use iOS forget it. If you just got it take back before u gat stuck with this junk!

This TV remote app REQUIRES permission to see your current location. Ridiculous. And the app description specifically says it does not require any permissions.

I have no issues with the design of the remote in the app itself and it would be a perfect replacement for the remote that came with the TV (which was awful and stopped working altogether in 6 months) but I don’t understand why it can’t just stay connected. At least for a while. You have to let it search for the TV and connect every single time you use it, basically if you put it down for 2 minutes and go to use it again you have to reconnect. And the connection will get hung up and not find my TV even tho I have perfect wifi that has no issue with any other device. So good idea and design but awful execution.

If I would’ve known two years ago that the LG TV would not connect to my iPhone, I may have based the fact alone on the purchase of the TV. Is LG unaware of how many iPhone users are out there? Their programmers must be pretty narrow minded to think that only people with androids will connect to their TVs. I am an IT guy. I know networking. This app has never connected to my LG TV. There is only one Wi-Fi network in the house and all phones, iPads, and the TV are connected to the Wi-Fi network. But the app on my iPhone can never find the TV. If I could give this app zero stars I would do it. Please come up with something that works before it gets put up on the App Store

So I turned on my TV and made sure that me and my TV were connected to the same Wi-Fi I downloaded this app and it started off by searching for LG TVs it didn’t work the first few times but I was near my TV so what I did is set my phone right under my LG TV and it still could not find my device so I think this app may be just a fake because I was right near my TV and it didn’t work so that’s my review hopefully you can fix this
Can’t get past step 1 install

Step one: make sure your phone is connected to the same WiFi as your tv. Well..... since the WiFi goes out notoriously on your TVs I have it hard wired. No option to get it to work over WiFi. So how do we proceed past this step since it can’t find the tv???? I wouldn’t even be trying to download this if I could get some of the new tv apps on my LG Tv. So here I am trying a million work around me of looping through app upon app to watch tv on my phone cast onto my tv.... that I’m about to give up and retire this not even three year old tv and not buy another LG that’s for sure.

I have excellent WiFi at my house but this app couldn’t find my lg oled tv and yes, they were on the same 5G network. Glad I could add to the list of one and two star reviews.

Works perfectly on my SE. Volume down is near impossible to hit on an iPhone X though. Like other reviewers I wish it would stay connected when backgrounded. 1 star because I can't use it without providing my location via GPS.
