Worthless on IOS 13

Ed of Richardson

Will seldom connect ... did not work well on IOS12 but 13 is useless. One ear connects ... left or right random. Will not stay connected in background regardless of app background setting. Needs lots of work. But probably abandoned now that aids are older ... never buy Resound again.

Update Made App Worse

ZigZagZeke

There is no way to force hearing aids to connect to the phone in this app. There is no provision in the app for pairing and unpairing. There is no available adjustment for frequency response (as in the older version of the app). Hearing aids connect when and if they want to. Very frustrating. Hearing aids randomly drop streaming connections and refuse to pair with TV streamer. I have given up on this app and use the native iPhone hearing aid controls. They work even when the hearing aids are “not connected” according to the app.

Love Kirkland hearing aids, HATE THIS APP!

I love my Kirkland hearing aids but HATE THIS SPP! It is crap. Been using it now for 4 years and with every iOS update the hearing aid app has gotten worse. To stream music I have to turn OFF Choice “ All Around hearing” because the surrounding noise over powers The music streaming. When using using Waze I also have to turn off choice app all around hearing or surrounding noise overpowers the sound for Waze. This is true for any app that you can listen to through your hearing aids, yep that is true when talking on the phone through the hearing aids, It’s crap!! It wasn’t this way 4 years ago it was far much better. I’m sure it has something to do with Apple updates and Choice tec not keeping up. I’d go back to android in a minute but Androids choice APP is even less worthless. Come time to buy new hearing aids I may have to go to one other than Costco.

Hearing Aids Won’t pair with my iPhone 7 Plus.

Must delete/reinstall app to make it work

Baldoon

The app didn’t use to be this way. Since the last update, if I have exited the app or shut down and restarted my phone, I have to delete and reinstall the app in order to make any adjustments to my hearing aids. Fix it please.

Simply won’t connect or work anymore.

The app is almost useless

Since the updates to iOS, the app is causing me more problems than being helpful. The Bluetooth can’t connect 70% of time. Phone calls connect to only one hearing aid, unfortunately for me, its the side with almost total loss so that function is now useless to me. I did not pay nearly 2 thousand dollars for hearing aids that won’t work as advertised. Please fix this app! 2020 update!!!! Even worse than before! OMG, fix this app!

Needs updates very bad

New iPhone 10 lots of problems. Doesn’t connect properly when phone rings and you try to answer it keeps vibrating and won’t pick up in the ears which is very very irritating because people hang up by then

This app worked pretty good until iOS 11.1 update. totally messed things up. It was supposedly fixed in 11.1.4 but nope!!! Like other reviews I’ve read here I’ve deleted the Kirkland app, forgot the hearing aids in accessibility, repaired and tried the app again. When using the car Bluetooth, streaming would bounce between the phone, the car and the hearing aids or go nowhere at all. I went back to Costco and they were not helpful. I was planning on upgrading my phone to iphone8 plus, which I just did and upgraded to iOS 12, the problems persisted. After digging deeper and reading other similar issues, one suggested to just delete the Kirkland app and only use the iPhone’s built-in MFI controls. Though there are occasionally issues, for the most part this has resolved my problem. I can stream and now when calls come while I’m driving go through the car audio seamlessly. Much better. It appears that the Kirkland choice app conflicts with the iPhone’s built-in controls. They work much much better without the app. For those still struggling, give it a try.
