Not designed for pros

Sony has grand ambitions and they are creating some amazing cameras and lenses these days. They are aiming for the professional market, but this app fails them. I'm a working photojournalist and I really want a simple system to select and download photos to my phone so that I can edit them a little in Lightroom CC and upload them to my agency. This program fails in several places. 1) I can't select to transfer the RAW or JPEG. If the JPEG exists it is the only thing that gets transfered. 2) I can't zoom in on the photos while selecting them. 3) I can't import them to the new filesystem. I have to import them to my photostream which gets confusing and unorganized. 4)When browsing the photos on my camera each day is sorted by the first number in the day. A simple detail that would be very easy to fix. It's 80% ready, but that last 20% makes it slow and painful for a professional.

Really?

Sony, the world knows you have plenty of cash...please use a small amount to make a functional app.

Support multitasking

I have students with low vision using this to view distance and zoom in on lessons from their classroom seat. Would love to be able to see them use the app while opening a note taking app and taking notes at the same time.

Useless, almost no functionality

Sony, do you care about the products you’re making? Are you proud of what you made here? Seems not at all. This software is practically useless. It was like written by a 8-year old child who just started coding. Turns my full featured A77-II DSLR into a low-level consumer brick. Is it a joke? I can’t even control Flash from this app. It always pops up when I try to make pictures. The only thing it provides is a Shoot button in Automatic mode. Looks like a joke really. Overall I’m very disappointed with Sony’s support for their Alpha cameras.
