Geotagging is not reliable

The most useful feature of this app is the geotagging. It’s much better than the old gpx plus Lightroom sync approach. Unfortunately, this feature is not reliable. The connection is easily lost when the phone goes into sleep. After manually wake up the phone, more than 50% chance, the Bluetooth link between phone and camera just lost. I wish this problem can be fixed.

Got A7iii and so excited to use it after upgraded from a7ii, until started using this app. This app was last updated 3 months ago which this camera has yet released, therefore i am suspecting some of new functionalities are still waiting to be released to this App. Nonetheless the app has always been frustrating to use since having Sony mirorless camera 2years ago.
iOS 11.3.1 Support?

I’ve been using this app with Sony A7Rii to operate the Smart Remote Control app for the camera successfully since the update to version 6.2.0 last fall. Since updating to iOS 11.3.1 on iPhone X, the SRC app will not function. The iPhone see the camera’s wi-do but camera will not allow iPhone Play Memories Mobil to see the camera’s controls. This is frustrating because it is the best tool for remote shutter release when functioning properly. I hope Sony works this out soon.

Highly disappointing, comparing to other apps. Wouldn’t think Sony would even put their name on this. Makes me question everything else. -10 for you Sony!

If you are using up to date software on your Andriod or Apple device then forget it this app is a complete waste of time. The supported version of iOS is so outdated I’m going to have to break out my old iPhone 6 just to use as a WiFi remote until my wired remote comes in from amazon. I have been shooting on Sony bodies for years and this problem has never been remedied..

Doesn’t work at all. Crashes every time I try to share a photo so they’re all held hostage in the app.

App doesn’t work for Sony A7Riii. I think at one point it did, but Sony doesn’t support it. Seems like a shame to not allow a remote app function for a $3200 camera.
