So disappointed PlayMemories does not work, bcz this was one reason I bought the RX-10M4. Spent a lot of time reading instructions, watching support vids, and still no connection to my iPhone 7 Plus (ios 11.3) or iPad (ios 9.35). BTW Panasonic's FZ-1000 connects as advertised. Maybe I should return the RX-10M4 for a FZ-2500.
Doesn’t transfer raw files

The real kicker is that I cannot use the app to transfer raw files I’ve shot to my iPad or iPhone. What’s worse, language in the app says it’ll transfer at original size, which it doesn’t.

I have a A7rIII which I love, but this is not possible to really work with clients to do reviews and star ratings so makes it useless. Sony cameras have come so far and are amazing and I’m thinking about swapping from Canon. But until this app works for professional shooters I can’t make the total switch.
Please fix!

This app gets 1 star for enabling geotagging on my camera. Other than that it should be zero. It is able to transfer photo’s to smartphone but it won’t transfer raw files, so it’s pretty much useless. Would be nice to be able to turn off the camera and have it auto send the raw files to the phone. I could then have Lightroom mobile auto import the new photos into my Lightroom CC workflow. Please enable the transferring of raw files. I get the feeling that the part of the Sony camera team with brains is working on the camera’s and they hired some 3rd party vendor or something to make the app for them. Please bring the quality of the app up to par with the quality of your cameras.

Spent two hrs on trying to get my phone to connect properly with this app with no luck. Buy the $9.99 hard wired remote instead. Sony’s FAQ page is a joke!
Awful, Even When It Works

The interface to connect it to an iPhone is obtuse and overly complex. It won’t connect to my iPad. And, once a transfer to my iPhone is complete, it won’t do another.
Does not maintain a Bluetooth connection.

I was looking forward to sharing my location data with the A7RIII. Unfortunately the Bluetooth connection is not reliable. It will not reconnect if I turn off the camera to save battery. I have to kill the app in order to force the reconnection.
