I really only use the app to text a loved one who is serving time. But I only get alerted to a new message about 20% of the time. I always have my phone with me but without some sort of alert I don’t realize he has replied. And then I feel bad for not replying to him. *******UPDATE****** So after 4 months of using this app I actually bumped it down from 2 stars to 1. Frequently there is a “temporary error” where the system is down for hours. The website and the app are linked so when one goes down the other goes down. Very frustrating when it’s time to do a video chat and you can’t because the whole system is down. And when it come to video chats the audio and video generally are NOT in sync.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I can t get my family phone #s verified correctly. So they’ve had to create all separate accounts. I can NEVER create a new message on the app. Always get a message stating unable to send messages at this time. Thought person needed money, so I added more, still doesn’t work. I can ONLY create a new message by using the Web app. MUCH work is needed on this app. For as much as it costs to keep in touch, there should be PLENTY of money to significantly improve this app.

I’ve spent hours on the phone with customer support, triple checked everything and it’s definitely an app development issue. I’m using an iPhone XS Max and the app will not recognize my username and login via email and password nor phone number and pin. I can login to go visits and the desktop version website but it will not allow me to login on the getting out app to send messages and pictures.
Don’t allow you set up an account

This is horrible... it asks for username and password but don’t give you an option to set one up... how can I use the app if you don’t give me an option to create an account??? Just horrible and very frustrating...

I downloaded this app but all it is saying is I need to log in but I haven’t created a user name yet now do I create a user name

App crashes. Frequently takes duplicate charges to your card. Extremely terrible customer service. Charges done by app error are non refundable. Fraudulent.

The people in charge of this app need to try it out so they can see how awful it actually is. Then maybe they would do something about fixing the issues that make it the absolute worst app ever! I does not deserve even the one star required to give it to rate it. I’d give it a negative five star rating if that were possible. :(
