Not worth it, even for free

Why? It just doesn’t work. I don’t get calls even with four bars. They go straight to voicemail. I don’t get taxed, ever, unless I’m connected to Wi-Fi. Don’t waste your time with this app to replace your phone. The hassle, the poor service, it’s just not worth it.

You may encounter IO errors from time to time. when this occurs, you have no way to make calls and receive calls. You have to do delete the app, download again, re-config APN, and shutdown and restart your phone etc. sometimes you have to do a few times. You still have the misfortune when nothing could get it back to work for a few days. Then it started to work because they fix the server issue. This occurs most likely is after they have done some kind of software update. Besides the technical issue, they increase your price by 30 - 40 ate renew time without telling you. Definitely not recommend!
I/O error on outbound calls

For the last 72 hours any outbound call as failed to dial with a reason of I/O error. Text my brother and sister-in-law who also use Freedompop and they too got the same I/O error. We all us iPhones. I also see two reviews here and one post in the forums about this issue but have yet to see a reply from anyone at Freedompop. Could we get an update on what is happening and ETA on a resolution? May 18, 2019 I/O errors again. What is causing these issues?
Charges randomly/ absolutely scamming money

App changes the plan without any permission, when it asks to update credit card info to continue use. Customer service uses policy / claims u have signed when u log in and refuses to refund despite agreeing to problem in system. Why because policy says so. Apple store should ban apps like this and report abuse!
Data works, calls not so much

I have the "free" 200mb plan, and the data works fine in apps like safari etc. However, when I receive a call, I can hear the caller but most of the time they can't hear me. I would appreciate a fix

I payed for a sim that worked for any free service I get its free so adds or whatever but I couldn’t even set the SIM card up told me to wait until the end of time! I waited an hour or so on my friends WiFi, which was required for initial set up, but as soon as i took it home I left it overnight and still nothing! The audacity of an app that says it provides easy and quick set up should do just that. I 10/10 even if I get this waste of money working WILL NEVER go thru another ‘free’ bs gimmick like this again glad I learned on a 2 dollar purchase

When I started using it 2018. It was okay and customer service was lame. I got a SIM to use the free plan on my second phone. Now 2019 they charge me $6 to $14 a month and I don’t even use my second phone. When I call customer “support “ it’s automated machines talking and no way to get the a human representative.

If your looking for a inexpensive plan, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!!! 5 STARS!!! This is the best texting plan I have had. Your can do it for free if your just learning, or for like 50-40$ per YEAR unlimited texts and calls + 1G of data!!! You need to get this! I recommend this to ALL
