freedompop has been around so long and it's still awesome. they are the original free plan and every other company that offered free plans are long gone. freedompop is still here. if anyone tells you freedompop isn't awesome, they are lying.

I love the app but you still have to pay the send images or gifs and I am kind of annoyed by that kind of stuff. My dad got me it and I am not very satasfied. So you would be a complete idiot to get it.

Of course it’s good to be able to make calls for free, time to time, even international calls (this is important for me), I don’t understand why not with Italy, but like other people said, I receive the text that I missed a call without actually receiving the call and it’s unprofessional and unpleasant. It works only wi-fi now, I can’t use data (is there but...no signal...). It needs patience because it doesn’t always work.
Billed credit card after transferred number to different carrier

Right first problem I changed my plan to a lower rate still billed my at higher plan for 2 months because of this I ported number to another carrier 2 months later they bill my card again

free phone line for$5 at target/best buy. I haven’t received any unexpected charges but the opposite. I tried to pay for voice mail and all cards plus paypal were rejected. It seems impossible to actually give them money.
