Slots crash the game, not game stopping but still annoying to not get to use a character because his ability breaks the game.

Bugs fixed in a not so timely manner.

Edit-12/12/19- When iOS 13 rolled out it effectively crippled this game. Now, it seems, SE has finally updated this game. I haven’t encountered any more bugs so far but the reason I won’t go above 4 stars is the horrible customer support/service.

Autosaved to a point where you die! Game Ruined!

Had been playing this a few hours, game was great. However you only have one save point and cannot choose when the game Autosaves which is what ruins it. After playing 5 hours it's very disappointing that when my game loads in, king Bannon dies immediately and the game ends. Try to reload? Same thing happens immediately with an enemy 2 steps away from him and nothing I can do to stop it. Noticed some other reviews mentioning this same scenario but without being able to go to a previous save point my game is ruined and I have to restart a new game or just give up. Nobody wants to play the same 5 hours of game to get back to the point they were. I can't imagine how they designed this game to let this happen. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS.

Edit— They appear to have finally fixed the problem causing the game to be unplayable in iOS 13. I do find it funny though that their description of the patch is “Fixed minor bugs.” I wouldn’t describe the game being literally unplayable as a “minor” problem, but at least they did fix it. ——— Like many others have said, the game is broken in iOS 13 and is unplayable. I reached out to Square Enix about this and I was told they were aware of the issue and are supposedly working on a fix but did not know when one would be available. It is disturbing that they would knowingly continue to take money from Apple customers for a product that can’t be used, but I guess that’s the current state of Square Enix. I did reach out to Apple about this as well, but was given a non-response back that can be summed up as “we don’t care lol.” Buyers beware, do not allow Square Enix to steal your money while this app is broken! It’s a great game, but only when it’s playable! You CAN request a refund through iTunes if your purchase was made recently, as well!

Ignore every other bad review. I played this on the SNES, loved it as a kid. Now to have the entire game on my phone, it’s amazing and nostalgic. I hear people complain about the moving controls, I don’t share this belief. It’s perfectly well. It’s obviously not a control, aside from that I enjoy every aspect. The new sprites are something I’ve heard negative things of. To this I say it’s a lovely sight. Although I am a fan of the classic look, I don’t mind these new ones at all. The battles are smooth and great, so there’s really no negative at all that I have found. It’s an amazing game and I want to thank the company for putting them on sale January 5th, I bought 3 games and I’m excited to complete them all. Happy playing my fellow final fantasy fanatics, the choice is yours to buy, I don’t regret it but then again I got mine for a cheaper price. Very much worth it.

Stretched Screen

Playing on iPhone X. The game used to look pretty great, but the current version is stretched way too far. Why bother overhauling the sprites, then ruining even that. By far the worst version of this game. Great game though.
