iOS 13.4 broke

Well, it use to work well. However with the advent of the latest iOS update movies not longer play. It thinks it’s playing but it’s not.

Apple TV app needs update

Since the update to the new tvOS it keeps kicking me out after I try to go back a folder. Have to close the app entirely to be able to sign back in.

Full Apple TV support

Overall it’s a good app however when searching through Apple TV the app starts to fail here as it will not allow you to select from the search list. Please Fix! Otherwise a strong 4.5 but not until that search issue is fixed.

App doesn’t work well
Frankom53

Doesn’t play the most of the videos once has been transcoded; and give me very hard times to upload my videos into the app; there is no way to classify the movies by genres. I’m using now another app to stream my movies and no complaints now whatsoever.

work fine in most cases

Good, could easily be better

Once you get accustomed to some quirks this is a good and functional app. Simple is good, it is, and I hope it stays that way. Navigating your library isn’t super intuitive initially but you’ll figure it out. If you Synology guys could add a repeat/loop video option like you have in the mobile and browser-based apps that would make my day for real. Oh, and when you use the search function in ‘all videos’ you can swipe to pop down to the second video in the search results (why not the first? I don’t know) but swiping left or right just pops you back up to the search bar and renders the feature basically useless unless you get lucky and the second one in the search results happens to be the one you want to watch. It would be real nice if that got fixed. Thanks for the good work, guys.

Sorta barebones but does the trick

Would love to be able to pinch to zoom videos.

Requires app to access downloaded videos
trkyme

If you download a video for example through the DS app for offline viewing, you are forced to watch it through the DS app. It doesn’t matter if you own. They are not letting you access the downloaded folders in iOS. There is a sharing feature but this is not the same.

Great little player for Synology!
JimboDev

Great for viewing your videos on your Synology. My only suggestion would be to add the option to change the playback speed. I use it to review classes, and it would be a big help to speed things up!!

Will not allow you to scroll left to right on videos since recent tvOS update.
