Chromecast streaming

Streaming to chromecast still doesn’t work. Can’t stream from my iPhone or iPad to my lg smart tv. It used to work perfectly. Please fix it.

Overall get app, I just need the ability to play a tv show in shuffle mode and I can replace my current setup and use Video Station exclusively.
Stutter and Freeze

When playing a movie on my iPad or iPod Touch 4th generation it starts freezing briefly like it is buffering. Eventually the playback just stops. Playing movies using the Android version of this app on my ASUS PadFone S is flawless so it’s not a problem with my DiskStation (DS412+) or my WiFi router (NETGEAR R6300 v2). It used to be equally good on my iPad. It can’t be a problem with the iOS version as my iPad is at the latest version as of today (28/10/2017) while the iPod is running the last version available for it (9.3.5) and both these devices are equally affected.

I was using this app on a Ruko, but everytime they updated it broke. So I bought 2 Apple TVs and installed the app. It has run flawlessly from the beginning. I have all my videos on a Synology NAS in the mkv package to avoid wear and tear. This app makes use of the hardware transcoder in the DS916+. The sound quality is very good as it will pass through the video to my equipment. The picture rivals the disk itself. As the hardware transcoder is used the the cpu hardly runs. I am totally satisfied with the app and the nas.
No HEVC Support with AppleTV 4K

The app doesn’t support HEVC files on the new AppleTV 4K. I submitted a ticket through Synology’s support team to give them a heads up and all they did was copy/paste a FAQ that my Synology can’t transcode above 720p files. Thanks for the heads-up Synology! The funny thing is, your native Samsung version of this app plays the same HEVC file from my same server with no issues without any transcoding or stuttering. The AppleTV app needs to be updated ASAP for the new file format to just tell the OS to pass through the file and not transcode. It shouldn’t be that hard to understand.

Good App. I feel like they should update it more often though. Iphone X screen support desperately needed.
Minor Chromecast Issue

When casting mp4 video from iPhone to original Chromecast, if the Ring/Silent switch is switched to silent then it causes the audio and video to freeze up and not start playing at all
Decent app; needs a few more features
The Sidewinder Three-Thousand
This app is OK but if I’m going to rely on it for ALL my personal movies and videos it needs to be great. And it could be by adding a few missing features: 1. Needs iOS picture-in-picture support so it can run in the corner while using other apps 2. Needs support for side-by-side multi-tasking on iPad 3. Needs true fullscreen option (wide, with notch) for iPhone X 4. Needs “15 second jump back” and “15 second jump forward” buttons

Works perfectly! Requested feature: for Playlist items, just auto play the next show/movie/video instead of always prompting: "Do you want to play the next show? [Yes] [No]"
