I have waiting for something like this for a long time. This is a great start. Still missing some of the basics such as emailing notes. Some of the functions don't work. Look forward to the next release.
App currently unusable on iPhone 6 Plus

The app currently lags and crashes beyond usability on my iPhone 6 Plus. It did work fine on my old iPhone 5s.

Overall it's a great start. I love how synology is creating new apps. But here's what's making me not use it. 1. Need to manually sync notes. It should sync automatically when you open it. 2. Design on iPhone 6 Plus looks bulky. I prefer sleek look. Three stars for now, until more improvements are made ;) Thanks!

Synology is hands down THE BEST PERSONAL CLOUD hardware and software I have ever used and I have tried many from Iomega, Pogo, to Western Digital ect. DS Note is their newest idea and it is a great idea! This app is a great start and a very good replacement for Evernote. It needs the ability to do drawings like Notability before I can truly make it my official only note app but for text, pics and recordings it is very good with only minor glitches for a first release. You can go on forever and pay monthly fees for more and more storage from the great public cloud usual suspects such a Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, extra or you can pay once and have just as good ( if not better!) cloud services that you own forever!

It's a good start but has a way to go before it's on par with Evernote. Given the right features I'd feel much safer using this for notes than a public cloud app like Evernote. Looking forward to seeing what the next version brings.

Very excited about where it will go and what can be done with it !! For starters need a search function within the note and a zoom out function for very long notes. I would imagine full use of 6 plus resolution is in the pipeline. Thanks !!
Crashes after a few minutes

Great idea. Absolutely pathetic execution. The app cannot login intermittently even though other DS apps can with the same credentials. Once logged in the app keeps hanging at "syncing". Then it crashes in a few mins. Worst of all the search doesn't even return notes when searching for obvious text that's in the notes. Worse still with the latest release it cannot even login - simply crashes on start up. Contacted tech support and they are clueless saying "it works in my system". Synology needs to get serious about software. About the only thing that works in their favor is the DSM platform for their NAS. Every other private cloud software they have tried is a joke comparatively.

Glad to have Notes capability in DS. Missing some features like camera and microphone integration, web link save.... But really good layout and core features. Hope it improves over time.

I am glad that Synology created this app as I have been looking for a note app myself quite sometime. This is simple to use and the UI is intuitive enough to navigate different pages. It would be nice that The users that I share the note with can also edit the note too. This would be a nice enhancement
