Crap app if you want warm food

We tracked our order/driver and saw they had picked it up our food and was heading our way! THEN, they went to pick up another person's order and sat at whatever restaurant it was for over 30 MINUTES! This was not the first time either. I am deleting this app from my phone! Using Grubhub exclusively from now on

I’ve used door dash plenty of times and sometimes everything goes fine. So I’m recognizing the drivers that care! But my biggest complaint is that in my case most of the time no one even picks up my order so I’m waiting for a long time. (Normally I order at night) but if no one is willing to pick up my order because it is late then why give me the option to order? Sometimes I don’t even get the food and my order is like cancelled. And other occasions I pay for an order and don’t get everything I paid for. Are the drivers supposed to check if everything is in the bags? The drivers work for the company so it makes sense to make a complaint about who is making the mistakes. If I had a car I’d get the stuff myself.

I use this app between 1-3 times per week. My order is never right or items are always missing. They’re good about refunding you the price of missing items, however if you have three kids to feed and are missing a whole meal, they charge a delivery fee to re-deliver your missing items. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to pay double delivery fees because their dashers were negligent and failed to check my order before leaving the store.

The first 2 or 3 times we used this app, we received great service. The next 5-7 times, our food was delivered late (by at least 30 minutes; often the “dasher” was picking the food up at our delivery time, and it was cold by the time we got it) or not at all. We’re about to call our bank to reverse charges on a meal that we ordered and the dasher marked as “delivered” but we never received. Don’t waste your time.

Est delivery time: 12:20am, i call at 1am, apparently there is no dasher for my food. Lol. Wasted over an hour of my time for food that was never coming. Unlike uber where they tell you step by step process of what's happening with my food door dash gives you a false est time. And also unlike uber where the service is unavailable when there is no drivers around. Door dash allows orders to be placed regardless if drivers are available or not. Here's some advice to all you users. Make sure you contact customer service as soon as you place your order for an update so door dash doesn't waste your time.

I look to placed an order to one of my favorite spots and DoorDash has them in the restaurant list. At this point I am super excited, so I place an order. About an hour later no food. No text or push alert of any kind to update me on the status of the delivery. Then I check my email and said my order was cancelled. Funny thing is they said it will take 3-5 days to refund my money. It only took them seconds to take it. Grubhub way better service. They actually have people call you up if something went wrong..... Terrible app DoorDash is!!!!

Only use as a last resort, like if you’re drunk and can’t drive. The main issue with DoorDash is they have the drivers doing too many deliveries. So no matter how close you live to the restaurant you ordered from your food will be cold. I would be willing to pay extra to get my food still hot. But they don’t offer that yet.

Restaurants not populating, reset password not working

I reinstalled DoorDash and was unable to login. I attempted to use the “Forget Password” option but did not receive an email in my inbox and spam after several attempts. When attempting to make a new account, it says my email is already in use. When using an alternate email, restaurants are not populating.

Costly and retarded enforcement of tips

Service is not bad but I feel it’s unreasonably costly. It also forces you to tip before the order completes. Why would I tip a driver but not the cook ? And most importantly why would I want to tip before the fact ? What if I did not like the delivery or what if it is late ? I am now more encouraged to not tip at all because I don’t want to encourage bad drivers.
