App not syncing and media not present on cards

I spent all my morning trying to sync the anki cards so that I can view the media on the anki cards. However, it always ends early due to connection error. If an app expects me to pay $25, I would at least expect it to function properly so I don’t have to waste so much time as a student.

I originally bought this app to support the devs, so I didn’t have much high hopes for it base on all the reviews. The app turned out to be very helpful and I loved it for the most part, especially the scratch pad. The only negative thing I have to say is the image problem. Originally all of my images were synced perfectly. But after couple weeks of use, the white part of some of my images disappeared. Not sure if it has anything to do with data being lost during sync. I tried to sync it multiple times but still not fixed. This potentially could lead to more problems in the future.
Not a good use of time. Not worth the money.

The app is far from easy to use and rarely works like it is supposed to. It takes so long to get things to work and there are such frequent problems that you are far better off using something else. I would think for how expensive this app is that the experience would be better. Definitely not worth the money.

This is the one and only. I’ve tried so many SRS fancy UX developments in the form of apps to “note card” features inside apps. Let me save you the time—you get what you pay for. Skip a couple beers. Having the efficiency in study time and deep learning m is well worth the $$. There is a learning curve, and perhaps that’s an explanation for 4 stars in an age of 1s or 5s and pristine UXs over actual effectiveness. If you’re serious about your studies, you’re probably smart enough to handle a couple YouTube videos to get up to speed. The investment of time to learn the method behind unfamiliar terms is well worth it. You will use it for way more than school, maybe the rest of your life. Choose Anki if you don’t want that time period to be under the thumb of a subscription or be unable to export. It’s your information. One recommendation to the dev: consider auto sync upon exit.

I have toggle switches on the back of the cards and the area to open the toggle is so small that if I’m not precise, it will just change to a new card. NEVERMIND: was able to fix the issue in preferences. Thank you developers for responding to me!! Wonderful app!!!

Beware of the other ones, help support creative developers, I am extremely happy with the app and the desktop one that is always free, why pay a sub$cription like iDoRecall when incredible developers like this one provide free quality tools? The cost of this app helps support the server maintenance costs. A big thank for all the LHTL community by the way Barbara Oakley you rock!!

I hope the mobile version can add tags, custom learning needs tags instead of flags I hope the mobile phone can add the function of adding tags. In custom learning, we need to use tags to filter. Flags have no effect on custom learning, I hope developers can see it

Anki is the most versatile flashcard app out there. There is one thing I would recommend to the developers in the current version however. Re-enable the bottom bar on the deck screen, so that one can more easily make out the options "add/export" and "synchronize" against a dark background, like how the top bar is.
