Very Useful

mesae

I have been using Anki for years on Windows, Android and iOS. I bought the iOS version twice, once on my work account, and on my personal account. I believe the developer deserves the support. Anki is very powerful, and the interface takes a bit of effort to learn, but it is worth the effort. If you haven’t memorized what you need to know, it’s your own fault. With tools like this available, there is no excuse, except maybe time available.

may i use timer in anki app?

Pricey but useful

Definitely a pricey app and a little confusing at first, but worthwhile if the team is constantly working on it to make sure everything runs smoothly. Great on the go option to the computer version and worth the cash if helps you retain information for school and finals. $25 isn’t anything if it’s helping you saving hundreds or thousands of dollars in repeating university classes or helps you get further in life. Good stuff ??

This app needs to listen to their design team

bates756

... or hire one if one is not in place. Understanding how to use this app takes time and by today’s standards we all expect good design. It’s extremely clear that they either a) have a design team and cannot prioritize/implement design or b) they don’t have a design team and desperately need to hire one. If you don’t have time to invest in learning this app, it’s a waste of money.

How I got through med school

Could not have done it without you, Anki, and uworld.

5 stars; but there is always room for improvement.

The app is fantastic if you use anki to study. My application is mainly for USMLE Step 1, but any subject where you can utilize a notecard methodology will become exponentially more efficient and easier in the long-run. If you’re looking for material on Anki itself there are a ton of resources online (Reddit being a huge source for many). The desktop application is still essential to a successful study experience unfortunately. But, as for the iOS application itself, here are the areas where it can improve: 1) Incorporating more of the highly used / loved add-on’s such as: a) Right hand reviews b) Heat Map - Glutamate c) Popup Dictionary - Glutamate d) Amboss Add-on (Amboss can link to their own app?) e) TTS capability f) Table Editor g) Postpone Reviews h) Load Balancer i) Hierarchal Tags 2) The browser is a great tool and has been improving with each major update. It still needs a bit more work to become really useful for users on-the-go. 3) Application Icon can use a refreshed design. 4) Overall user experience can use a refresh with a cleaner look. This application still deserves 5 stars, despite the “issues” I listed above. The application still preforms wonderfully, and if you’re aware of the app’s shortcomings; you can adjust your study methodology to successfully utilize the app to it’s fullest potential. These changes would help users move to a more “mobile” focused anki experience, rather than a desktop focused one.

I purchased this app by accident. How to I get my money back!

Thanks for Game Controller Support!

Anders Family

Update: As of two weeks ago, more keyboard shortcuts added—THANK YOU! Adding game controller support with iOS 13 made another giant dent in what I’m able to accomplish on my iPad instead of relying on my Mac; it’s great to see the developer chopping away at feature disparity between the iPad and Mac. Still want to see some improvement in the Browse screen, but I’m along for the ride!
