App has major issues

AVWaggoner

The app ignores my deck settings. I assume the web version is more stable and that I can add decks and cards to the web version, and after creating my decks on the web , then sync with my phone , but for a $25 app , the app should be capable of handling deck creation . Notifications don’t work . I’ve checked to make sure that notifications were turned on(yes), so I have no idea what the problem is , but ease of use is one of the reasons I’ve started to use Anki. If using the app offers little advantage over physical flash cards , why is this app $25? I hope my experience improves, but so far this app gets 1 star, with the caveat that I’d give it 0 stars if offered that option by Apple .

Great App! Needs a fix!

Anki is the best app out there to create flashcards! However, the app version (especially iPad, since bluetooth keyboard can be used) does not allow the arrows to be used. For example if I want to chance the cursor back and forth to edit a word or a sentence, I cannot use the arrows in my keyboard to do so. It can get very frustrating. PLEASE FIX!!!

Overrated.

To be a simple flash card app, it is much too difficult to navigate. I understand that it’s good to have options and versatility, but that doesn’t help very much when there is too much going on. Especially things that I likely won’t ever use. Navigating through the app sometimes feels like reading some kind of computer programming language. The only reason I bought this is because it’s popular and I had to switch my devices. I wouldn’t have bought it if I had known it would disrupt my flashcard building process as much as it has. It is overrated and not worth the current premium. Just use the two free Anki programs on android and computer. Also, the app doesn’t tell me how many words are do unless I open the app first, which is strange.

Bug

Seems there’s a slight difference in the ordering of decks in the iOS app versus the Mac app. I came across this example today: On iOS the order of these two decks is... “Immunology (Local) Immunology” versus on the Mac... “Immunology Immunology (Local)” Edit: My only real issue right now I’m running into is not being able to see tags in the browser. Quite difficult without them to unsuspend cards per tag, which is often in bigger premade medical decks.

Breaks up the monotony

I recommend this. Works very well. Syncs up across platforms and most importantly, gives you an alternate way to do your daily Anki by breaking up the monotony of using your computer every time. Worth the money.
