They Treat Contractors Horribly

Just wanted to see what a home owner would see. I filled out the form as if I was a home owner. I clicked the button that says show me pros. Not the one that says have the pros contact me. Won't you know it pros started to call me. And the pros will get charged for this. Not only did I ask them not to have anyone call me which is misleading and dishonest but they had a poor pro call me and will charge him for that call. Which he will fight to have to get a credit for. Not a refund of money but a credit. I knew I shouldn't have thought about using this in my business as they have been bothering (sometimes very very aggressively)me for years and years even after I said stop calling. But I saw a commercial and wanted to see what it looked like on the users end.

Person said they would call me in the morning and be there in the afternoon. I received NO call and no one showed up. He also said that he could also be at my house on Friday and has not shown up or called. VERY UNHAPPY.

This company was unprofessional and did a horrible job. The big job was to repair a gaping hole in the back of my house where the stucco came off and the wood frame underneath was full of mold. When they were done the wall was bowed and the cement went down to the grass. When I called to complain the owner,Kevin, was screaming at me on the phone that it was a perfect job. He came to my house to see it for himself and then sent out a different man the next day to “ fix” it. He admitted they didn’t do a good job. The fellow who worked on the wall told me he didn’t know how to repair stucco. Kevin originally said it would be a couple of days to do everything. They had me tied up for 8 days. Kevin kept pulling the men ( different ones) after an hour or two to do another job. The experience with Builds Luxury was horrible!!!

Easy to use and so far have hired two pros via this app for dryer vent cleaning and replacing hot water heater excellent! Am using again a third time for some HVAC issues. I like how you can read reviews of pros.

Okay. We were linked to a couple of “Recommended Pros”. Two showed up, one did not to give us an estimate. They estimates were insane. Then a random plumber called, whom was not one of their “top pros”. OMG! The guy was great! Honest bid, no over charging on parts or for the initial estimate or site visit. So, I would look for the smaller outfits and local people. Just because the guy who shows up is in khakis and a dress shirt does not mean they get to overcharge you for “a look”. Also, bigger outfits mean more overhead and padded estimates. So, we found a good plumber “a keeper” through the site. I have no idea how the pros lower down the list get your job info, but I would suggest not going necessarily with the top rated ones.

I’ve done 5 projects through home advisor and so far had great success. But I agree with some of the other reviews here, if I say I’m in planning phase I don’t expect to be bombarded with pros ready to come to my house tomorrow. But that avoidable because I just tell them I’m not ready. My problem is that I can’t delete projects I decided against without doing a review, and I can’t correct the app on what professional I used without calling HomeAdvisor which I don’t really have time for. So I have projects sitting in my list that I can’t get rid of which is annoying.

I was very satisfied with the first referral for Tree Removal. We are trying for Pest Control this time, Termites or Carpenter Ants perhaps this time. We are praying to be equally pleased with this referral!
