Missed the criminal!

Lukerh18

The camera caught 5 minutes before and 1 minute after but missed the criminal. Why can’t I just scrub to the time when they were there? Bad Tech! Would not recommend if you are relying on it for security footage.

I like the camera but major room for improvement

The real TRINITY

I have been watching cameras for a while so I jumped on this one when amazon got in the market. App works good but has a lag time. There is no switch to monitor without alerts or recording now matter what settings I have tried. Lastly the camera likes to shut off when it detects a person usually me. Lol needs more settings in the app to fine tune camera.

App keeps crashing. Cannot even complete the set up. Tried with two different iPhones and an iPad.

DoubleDownOn9

App just crashes. Cannot even set up the cameras. No support available. Tried on iPad Air, iPhone 7, and iPhone X. Going back to amazon tomorrow.

App needs improvement

I would like a thumbnail view of people that are detected. Right now I have to scroll through person and motion detected large thumbnails. Would be good to be able to filter out.

Junk vs the Nest app

1. Filters. How in the world does this app not have any filters? Want to see what happened 5 days ago? Prepare for a lot of scrolling. What about limiting it to just People or Motion? Nope. Accidentally hit the wrong button or rotate the screen? Prepare to scroll all over again. 2. Loading. Haven’t opened the app in 5 days? Prepare to wait while hundreds of clips are loaded and then unloaded on your screen.

Nice cams, horrible app

Matt804

I migrated to the Cloud Cams because of the quality and cost. I assumed since it was Amazon branded it would be a great change. The cams are great! But... this app is one of the worst I currently have on my iPhone. Alerts every single time someone is near the cam- so no “once every ___ minutes”. There’s no record on demand which is really stupid from a security standpoint. I could go on but it’s Amazon- so why bother? Hopefully someone will read the app reviews before buying the cam. Wish I would have!

Good start but missing few key features

Star- - for no Apple TV app. Star- - for bad bug when zooming in while playing recording. It flips, crops, and trims video when you use pinch and zoom gesture. Seriously, are they hiring freshman comp sci majors from community college to write this? Star- - for short motion detection video. The recording ends too soon for this to be a practical security camera when people/vehicles are moving at 20ft away. Need four more features. 0. I noticed home / away doesn’t work well on a iPhone 7 Plus 128GB / iPhone X 256GB. Especially the part we expect it to turn the camera back on when no one is home. Unclear what the issue is but the app should scan device setting for anything that can hinder this from working. For example, low battery mode being on, background app refresh being off, location service being disabled, etc. I also read reports that if the phone with home/away registered is turned off the home/away fails to work even after its turned back on. In my case home/away stopped working when I upgraded from iPhone 6 to iPhone X and transferred all my data/apps. I made sure Cloud Cam was uninstalled on the old device and configured properly on new device. 1. Introduce the concept of household for the sake of home/ away feature. What’s the point of having home/away feature if it only works for 1 person/account in the household? 2. Partition settings page into local vs global settings. Local is a setting that impacts a given phone/tablet device such as notification frequency. Global setting would be things like night vision setting which impacts the camera and is shared across all phone/tablet devices. 3. Apple TV app. Cancelling subscription and switching over to another ip cam if this isn’t fixed ASAP. Side note, I want the green led to always stay on when it’s monitoring. This coupling makes the camera on our premise tolerable for privacy conscious people. This is the feature that made us ditch our existing Logitech and Flir cams. This camera is at best a deterrent and I don’t think the ability to turn the led off would be more useful. The bad guys will just rob in their hoodies.

Needs a Lot of Work

The camera hardware itself is great as well as the included Amazon service - storing clips for 24 hours and having the ability to download them is great. That said there’s so much that needs improvement: -Home/Away doesn’t turn on when you leave your home automatically, which is a huge issue. You have to open the app to turn it on once it turns itself off when you arrive home -Home/Away absolutely kills battery life -There is no option to set a schedule for the camera being on/off -You cannot disable the LED light -The view area for the camera video is small and can’t be changed -Overall the app is skimpy on extra features Needs a lot of improvement. The camera is pretty worthless without an effective on/off scheduling feature

Slow and buggy

sandyjjr

Takes forever to pull up love stream of cameras. Very buggy

Good start, but has issues

acadiel

For one, iOS battery life is drastically impacted by this app, even with notifications disabled. Secondly, can we please get a date/time picker to look at old footage instead of scrolling forever? Fix these two things and I’ll be happy. :)
