The setup was super easy, and for a few months it worked great. But now it takes forever to load the live view, and I constantly get an error message that connection is taking too long. I use it as my baby monitor, and if I’m in a room without the Echo device with a screen, I can’t get the app to load a live view. We’ve already tried every troubleshooting available for the camera, and it still doesn’t work. I also have an Echo device on my nightstand to use as my overnight monitor, but I’ll wake up to find out that it just shut down and stopped the feed. I was super excited about this when we first got it, but honestly it’s been quite a nuisance. If I wanted just a security camera, I would look somewhere else.

Last app update was 2 years ago. The cameras aren’t sold anymore. I can load the live video on my Alexa and on desktop. But it won’t load on app. I can only watch recorded clips.

Amazon abandoned the hardware after customers paid for it. Ridiculous considering this is a security system device. Shouldve at least offered an upgrade to a blink camera.

cannot view on cellular

video stream will not connect over 4G cellular data - only connects via wifi. app last updated 2 years ago. this is abandon-ware.

Events not showing up except on desktop.

Keeps saying No Events Recorded despite the desktop version showing events recorded. Cameras are on 24/7 and this app is half useless.

This is an abandoned app. Amazon sold cloud cams that utilized this app and had some free cloud storage for recorded events. You could upgrade to get more features, storage and control. But now it appears that Amazon has abandoned its users, look at update history. That and the camera ability to connect to the cloud weirdly glitched for a short period of time. When it started working again it no longer had the ability to record events. Now it just acts as an expensive peep hole.

Stopped recording

Cameras keep rebooting and now they’re not recording. Called Amazon and they say it’s a known issue. Hopefully nobody breaks into my house and I have no proof. Time to buy a new system since I can’t rely on Amazon. Shame on you.

There is no more temporary cloud storage- I would not buy if I knew Amazon would ever abandon customers in this way.

Worst camera ever

Don’t even bother being off the WiFi trying to see your camera. We set it up for our dogs to check in. Yeah it just continuously tries to load and occasionally I can hear the background music we have on. Worst camera app ever. So frustrating. And last update was two years ago!!!!
