Dead app

Digghappy

Amazon discontinued the cloud camera and now they’ve abandoned the app. Can’t even watch recorded videos, notifications are hit or miss, etc., yet Amazon continues to take my subscription money. Thank you for wasting my time and money.

Camera limitations

BKK1010

What is not said is that the app works with free with the first three cameras and requires a subscription for groups of 5 or 10. This is perfectly acceptable except unless you purchased the camera directly from Amazon you CAN NOT purchase the expanded camera packages. In my case I obtained all my cloud cams from EBay so Amazon customer service denied me access to any service plan beyond the first three free cameras. Simply does not make any sense for Amazon to pass up annual fees for potentially years just because the the did not get to sell you the camera initially. Very disappointing.

Doesn’t work on iPad

ChiTown Mom

This worked... kind of... for a while but now it’s pure crap. I only see the cameras to turn on. Once I turn on there’s no way to turn off. Only works on my iphone which is a huge bummer.

app stopped working

WarpFactorJeff

App no longer loads the feeds from my two cameras. Used to work perfectly.

Terrible app

Fair warning, if you plan to use this for something important go somewhere else. Apparently there’s an issue with the cloud cam server and I can’t see my cameras. I called tech support and their response is that they’re aware, it’s pending to be fixed, no timeline what so ever, sorry. So basically I have two cameras I cannot see which is useless to me and I can’t return them. I’m just stuck with this problem. I am beyond frustrated at this point.

Abandoned by Amazon and slowly breaking

RawwrBag

Just recently, I’m no longer able to view the live view from my cameras. It was the only feature of this service I used. I’m a software engineer and I tried literally everything possible on my end, but no dice. Paperweight cameras I guess. Amazon does not support this product anymore and is waiting for it to be forgotten so they can sell you Ring instead. Don’t buy either!

Do not buy the Amazon Web Cam

Jensch67

All true. Server issue ongoing since December. No ETA. Amazon has dropped support of this $60 device. Asked for a steep discount to replace with something supported. Not an option. Got 3 months of subscription refunded. This is basically a camera that does not record. Come on Amazon! You do so many things so well! Tally: Amazon Echo Show $229 that stopped functioning 1 year later. Bought another with a 25% discount for $60. Amazon Web Cam no longer supported $60. That’s $289 of useless AMAZON branded equipment I have invested in now. Is this a pattern developing, Amazon??

Camera is okay, app doesn’t connect

RF Guru

My cameras just recently stopped connecting with app. Very frustrating. Talked with amazon, no fixes yet. I can hear and videos will record and I can view them, live view just doesn’t work!

It used to work perfectly

Khanfauji

I was able to view 24 hours of recordings on the app and even download them. I don’t know if Amazon ahead discontinued this product or not but the recording no longer show up on app and they don’t play on their website on my iPhone. This was a great product Amazon, not sure what happened here.

Useless camera. It forces you to pay extra for cloud plan

Ituyeh

I bought this can long before amazon started to become greedy. Now It’s just a junk because i refuse to pay for monthly subscription to the cloud plan. So now the camera won’t even record anything. It’s only hard for live viewing as needed which is completely useless now. I just removed the camera from my wall today.
