The app crashes every time I open it and has been doing the same thing for the last week! Please fix! I’ve spent a lot of money on Amazon devices and accessories for this not to work!

I agree with other reviewers. Shopping lists as one example do not function correctly. It’s very buggy, drops connection regularly, won’t allow you to view your list while at a store for example. There are many other issues that others have expressed that are valid and in most cases not being addressed.

iPhone X compatible apparently means the app completely freezes up and does not work at all. Way to go Amazon. Now I can’t even turn off the lullaby in my child’s room from the app and have to go into her room while she’s sleeping and wake her up by talking to Alexa manually. This app regularly freezes up and becomes unresponsive now. Completely useless. Closing the app doesn’t work, force quitting the app doesn’t work. Restarting the device results in an error message saying the Alexa is not connected. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app entirely to get it to work, which is a huge pain because you have to log in, allow various permissions, etc. How can a company have such advanced AI with such a useless app to control and configure it? ?

Every time I login it takes me to a page that’s says like you need to go to the website or shopping app to access or something and it’s pissing me off because I have and Alexa but I cannot set it up so I’m gonna return it probably

Updating app disabled alarm

Updated my Alexa app which in turn disabled my alarm even though in app it was still set. Thanks amazon for making me late for work.

I guess the best statement is: please go back to a very early version of the app. Back to a time when it worked. Problems, the app like to default to “this device” (my iPhone) and not my Amazon Echo. This is new / different. I’m used to opening the Alexa app and being able to control my Echo. Now I have to make sure the app is set to Echo. But this isn’t really relevant, cause it still won’t control my Echo when I have it set properly. Many tasks just sit with a empty screen (except for the 3 dots that are trying to fool me into thinking something might happen). Amazon, please help fix the app.

Lists and alarms broken

I cannot add more than one item to a List in the app without it breaking. Have to force quit and reopen the app to add another item. Alarms do not consistently show up in the app when added via voice. Additionally, Alexa does not recognize when an alarm is deleted or changed in the app. Deleted all alarms yet still had Alexa going off at 5:45am.

Also can we talk about the fact that there is only 2.5 stars. There’s obviously that many for a reason. Please fix ASAP
