My mom and I got the kits to do together and we have had so much fun learning about ourselves! Plus the app is sleek, easy to use and super stylish! Colorful without being blaring, modern but feels user friendly! 11/10 would recommend to a friend!

I love being able to quickly answer research questions on my phone. However, sometimes I accidentally click an answer that I didn't intend to, and there is no way to get back to that question to fix it. Even if I remember a few keywords, it is extremely difficult, sometimes impossible, to locate the exact question to provide the correct answer. A simple back button that takes you back to your most recently answered question would be INVALUABLE. Additionally, you might also consider being able to sort questions by most recently answered. That would also be helpful

This app, in my opinion, is way easier to navigate from the website. It even gave me the option to track my package, which I was unable to find on the website. I look forward to seeing my results!

I haven't had one problem using the app so far! I love they they give surveys for you to take while waiting for your sample to finish process! I also really like that you can see what step it's on every step of the process! Can't wait to get my results!

Very annoying app (deducted another star)

Don’t use 23andMe! USPS shows my package was delivered weeks ago but the app shows it is still in transit. The track package link doesn’t work within the app. Whole thing feels half-baked. I kinda regret going with 23andMe. Update: Now they sent me an email saying they received my sample and checked it in but the app says it is still in transit. I took another star. This process is terrible. 23andMe is awful.

No communication

I give them zero stars for communication during the process. There is no customer service at all, and they do not update the status of your report ever. On other apps there are things you can do while you wait, such as researching on your own and following your family tree. This service does not include any of that. I sent out my sample and my mother’s sample on January, 4th 2018 at the same time. So far, only my sample shows that It was received for processing, received on Jan 8th (today is Feb, 1st), and still no updates whatsoever, and no response when I submitted an inquiry thru the online customer service page, asking about an update on my mother’s sample that shows that It was delivered on the same day as my sample via the delivery tracking number. I have also sent out my samples to Ancestry.com on the same day, and have received updates every step since they received the samples (both of them). I will submit an additional review after my samples are processed and tell everyone about my experience. So far, I’m not impressed with 23 and me. Let’s hope they change my mind with my report.

No status for delivery

I mailed my sample back in December. It was “lost” my tracking info on the app never updated. I re mailed a replacement sample and the tracking info says “in transit” still after three weeks. The tracking info on the app does not work for some people. Don’t even bother calling their Callcenter.
