This app should be removed from the App Store. This service is a scam. They do not offer refunds and they make it impossible to talk to a live person. They only told me my religion which I disclosed to them. No country or region of background given except Europe. Needs to be removed from the App Store.

I bought this for my father, and it’s been ‘analyzing’ since NOVEMBER! The status hasn’t changed! Tomorrow it’s March! I’ve emailed them and all they do is apologize...I put in specific instructions for them to call me...nothing. This is the most horrible company. I went to AncestryDNA and already got the results for mine! How can something be analyzing for 3+months? Save your money, don’t waste your time. I genuinely have NO idea how people on here gave it such high ratings.

Just updated to 4.2. The app will not allow me to log in.

The process was sped up after it had taken more than 3 months to get a result. It still took about another month after I had emailed a complaint.. I appreciate 23andme listening and speeding up the process. I am upset about the time it took to have the results. At quick glance, the results seemed wrong compared to the results of other DNA companies. However, upon further inspection, I have concluded that the results are indeed as accurate as it can get. You just gotta spend some time on it. My results lacked some of the things I was looking for, but the ancestry report looks accurate enough.

This app would be better IF, one could go back to different surveys to redo wrong answers. Apparently it can’t be done right now & that is annoying. ALSO if one could choose the survey they wanted to complete. FIX IT.

This App needs of major update

App is bare bones no where near the functionality of the 23andMe website. Design is only really applicable for iPhone. It runs on iPads as an iPhone app. 23andMe should devote some time to expanding the app to run on iPads and making use of the expansive display real estate the iPad offers. Seems like a lost opportunity. It’s a shame 23andMe has not taken the time to make this app an effective interface to their cutting edge genome technology. Just got latest update, 4.2.0, still does not support large format of the iPads. Every other major vendor has embraced apples uniform coding standards that allow apps to run cleanly across the a-please iOS family of products. This is an okay app for 2010 but come on 23andMe it’s 2018 we expect more!

Won’t let me log into app. Using same credentials as website. Even did a password reset to make sure.

I downloaded the app and put my email and password in and it says it’s incorrect and says something went wrong so it directed me to the website. I put my same email and password into the website and it let me sign in no problem the first time. So the app obviously can’t understand that my email and password are correct.
